I was watching playing a game the other night on my Xbox One X, and I had my TV picture mode set perfectly for the game. Last night, I put in a 4K UHD HDR disk, and it wasn't even viewable. After going into the settings for the Oppo and making a few adjustments, then the picture quality of the disk was much better. I noticed that the Oppo has 3 different picture settings, which can be optimized for viewing content, but is there a particular picture mode that should be used by default so when I switch sources from one component to another, I won't have to go into the picture settings of the Oppo everytime to make adjustments? I have the Oppo setup in my media room with a Vizio P75-c1, but I'm about to have it added to my audio/video matrix so I can watch movies on any TV in my house. I'd like to just be able to play a disk and the picture quality be good no matter which TV I'm watching it on. Anyone care to share what picture settings and mode used on your Oppo so I can try using those settings?
I have a feeling that one of my daughters must have changed the picture settings on the TV or something because I don't know why there would ever be such an extreme difference between watching one source then switch to another and have a picture so bright that I can't even make out the colors. Maybe I need to lock the picture settings on everything.
