Just bought the new XMen and refuse to play, it stick on the menu without possibility or getting out of there.

Is there any more firmware available.
Forget about it, the remote control just failed.

figured i would give an update in case anyone was having a similar problem

sent the unit to Panurgy in NJ and they quoted me $810 to fix it...not kidding

I promptly said no thanks

UPDATE: Panurgy wanted to charge me $55 to ship the unit back to me when it only cost me $12 to ship it to them.

I emailed them a fedex label now telling me I need to pay for packaging because they immediately throw all boxes and packaging away.

Is this place for real?

Let them have it. These items are disposable.

I salute our Immersion professionals: Curt Hoyt to which I am very thankful for positioning my JBL loudspeakers correctly to achieve a very tight bubble and the greatly missed Peter CINERAMAX whose fearless R&D in PRO-RIBBON cinemas, curation of most immersive Kaleidescape scripts and forging ahead to 55 loudspeaker Crystal Led Cinemas will pave the road ahead. And Adam Pelz for bringing the system to jawdropping life!

well not true, its the DVD Mechanism so if I can find a broken one with a different problem I can just switch them out...not a big deal since I have a PS3 and another player but I like the 2500

funny you say that though, unit was delivered on saturday and immediately noticed numerous scratches on the top and around the HDMI port so I couldnt help but think it wasnt my unit and sure enough the serial numbers didnt match so definitely not my unit. I guess this is why they charge so much for return shipping thinking most people will just say keep it

similar problem to mine but slightly different...yeah ill be putting a stop on that inital charge

Panurgy is a disaster

I get the error code DENON1 in the player's display every time I press a button on the remote control
Nothing else happens
I tried disconnecting it from the mains to do a reset but that didn't work
In the user manual there is something about changing remote control codes, DENON1 and DENON2
But... nothing happens when I press buttons on the remote, and I can't get into the menu system
What do I do now?

hey there boys and girls...

so, i have a Denon blu ray player- the 2500BTCI.  it has worked very well.  i just got a new blu ray disc:  Rush; Clockwork Angles live- it's a concert blu ray.

when i play it back, the audio is great, but the picture is not.  it looks as if it were fimled with a pink t-shirt over the camera lens...many times it looks as though the guys on stage are "cartooned over" like those chalres schwab commercials.  it's not every song, but a good majority of it.

this is driving me crazy- i have played with most of the settings on the thing and it still is just not right.

the rest of my system is a Denon AVR 1913 receiver and a Samsung 51" 1080 plasma TV...i have all monster 1000 series HDMI cables as well.

i know there is a thread for owners of this particular blu ray unit, but no action there for a long time.

any thoughts would be welcome!

I missed my broken 2500BT so much I bought a used one on ebay
On the old 2500BT I could dim the front display completely
On this one I can only choose Dimmer or Auto
I like my Oppo 103 (I need a player with subtitle shift because of my 2,35:1 screen)
But the 2500BT has superior PQ... why I got one again
Funny considering it's now an ancient model

Denon 2500 Firmware updates

I have hade 3 updates to my 2500 (still working), the last one V1119 on May 20th, 2009.
I can't remember exactly what I did, but I have the last one on a CD. It's 30MB.
The file on my CD is E5H01UD1119DA1.bin.

I must have downloaded it from Denon and put it on a CD, then ran the CD in the player.
I can probably email the file to you, unless it's too big.

That would be very nice of you if you could send it to me yes.
if not working you can use a Onedrive or GoogleDrive link, usualy Hotmail ask you to build automaticaly a Onedrive link instead if files are too big.

I think I've saw someone talking about V1121 but nobody with a link to download it unfortunately.

Thx a lot for sending the firmware 1.119. it successfuly installed but unfortunately my problems are not with firmware.
It only reads BD aver warming up 10-15mn minimum and even there I need at least 2 attempt to read one.
I tried the SDCard trick but not much luck there too.
I went into checking service mode to see how many hours this unit had already done reading :

DB = 620h
DVD= 2450h
CD= 22h

Once it reached 3000h playing BD the picup unit should be replaced according to service manual,

I am wondering is, do they add BD+DVD+CD to reach 3000h or is it only for BD ?
Anyway it looks like very small number of hours compared to CD or DVD machines from the early 90s

that have been running like 3 times that (9000h) and still working fine!
