Sorry about your move. That really sucks.

The good news is before I sold my home in NJ, I moved absolutely everything you see in the photo plus entire audio visual setup with me to WA, where I'm building yet another new home, this one I'm completely architecting myself. The movers were fantastic, the bar, fittings and the booze was packed impeccably and is here with me in WA. I have an option of building the media room either in the huge basement or above the 48x24 garage, perhaps the latter

That bar is awesome - do you remember the rough dimensions? Looks like a perfect size for a cozy (small) space.

I would have measured it however all components are now lying packed in one of the garages but if my memory serves me right, the bar components have a 6'x6' footprint though I can't remember overall height.

While my "room" isn't much and didn't cost much, we use it for meals, TV, movies and exercise. Before the projector I never cared enough to take pictures, so I had to look hard and found one bad picture of the before as I was setting up the new 70 inch while leaving the 47 inch it replaced. (Thumbnail)

The main basement setup as it stands is a rug on the side wall/ceiling/floor, curtain over blinds and everything removable for when we sell:

Epson HC2000 purchased 11/2013 no issues as of 4417 hours on it/lamp, painted 169 inch 16:9 screen/wall, four pairs of wireless headphones, Yamaha V675, 7.2 with Infinity speakers and two Polk subs. Total cost including two theater chairs about $2600 or almost what I paid for the Sharp 70 inch TV it replaced.

Before: I really don’t have a pic I can find right now, but, nothing more than a cement foundation, no studs.

After:https://www.avsforum.com/forum/attach...164282&thumb=1

There will be another after when the fishtanks is complete and trimmed, and the door hides the water softener.

Front five subs are powered by the three iNuke amps - 1 sub per channel for the iNuke DSP 6000 amps, and the iNuke DSP 3000 is bridged to the fifth. Each sub is running at 4 ohm.
Three rear nearfield subs are powered by the bridged Cerwin Vega CV-5000 amp. Each nearfield sub is wired to 1 ohm (UM18-22 are DVC) and the three 1ohm subs are bridged to a three ohm load.

Anyone recommend a black paint. I did my ceiling in flat and it turned out great but to much shine. Paint store said it was due to the amount they had to add to tint it. Otherwise will order Rosco Supersaturated Velour Black ( # 6003 ).

I used Olympic One Black Magic paint from Lowes and it worked good. It was the darkest flattest they had.

Black triple black velvet is the bees knees for light sucking shine removing.
Living room updated for projection.

There is also a thread in the > $3000 forum that discusses everything light sucking for room treatment, just search "Once you go Black" and you should fine it.

Moved in 1 year ago.I started on the room in March 2015 and completed in one month. The room had been constructed using 2X insulation, 2X drywall and a few other things. I plan to add a second screen to the 2.35:1 144 inch, possibly a retractable 16X9 soon and add 4 ceiling speakers for dolby atoms.
