I'd say I own two copies of Pinnochio on BD , the japanese version (for better print quality on disc label and coverart) and the canadian one, as it features portuguese subs and dub (I'm from Brazil and in the case of animation I like to have the dub as well). I also have all the movies we discussed here, including I, Robot.

Basically, I like all kinds of movies and enjoy segments or aspects of movies that in general I don't consider very good. So I like to own them as well

Sounds good.

Can you believe it? On Ebay, I just got outbid on Home Alone 2. I bid up to $15 (plus $3 shipping) and some jerk just outbid me and there's still 2 days left until it ends. Geez! Don't these people want to save a little cash? These people must not have any B&M stores around them nor have they heard of Amazon. Ridiculous.

Amazon now lowered their price to $20.99 but it's back on pre-order.

I just won this item on Ebay for $16.61. It's about time I was able to get this for a half-decent price. I should get it by the end of next week.

$17.49 on Amazon and still on Pre-Order now. Of course that is right after I get it in my hands at $20.99. Do they have any price protection?

Best Buy had HA2 for $17.49 last week during their sale.

Fox put this on a BD-50 overseas vs the BD-25 we got. Audio tracks, subtitles, and menus are in a bunch of different languages on this German disc including English. I think it will be the same disc in the UK if they ever get around to releasing it. It also appears to be available currently in Hong Kong and Japan.

The bigger disc is better but the bottleneck here is the transfer so it's not an upgrade worth bothering with. There are no additional extras, either.

18.64Mbps AVC vs 29.98Mbps AVC

any chance of some mouseovers?
thanks for posting these! How did you know they re-encoded?
Fox did this on other titles, didn't they? Devil Wears Prada is one that I remember.

I actually tried to put them on the mouseover site but it stopped responding altogether after I hit the Compare button. Not sure what I did. I just went back onto it and it showed the comparison under my IP but only the first shot and that was corrupted.

I happened upon the info thanks to a conversation with a Dutch buddy online.

Other titles.. Prada, X-Men trilogy, MPEG-2 movies that became AVC overseas...

Did a diff on a few shots and without brightening them there was no visible difference.
