The official release is still scheduled for Aug. 25th, but Anchor Bay and Best Buy are working together to sell early.

In other words, only Best Buy is selling the title at the moment.

wow, it looks great!

it definitely shows its age (in a good way) and there was some intentional photography. but I didn't expect it to look that good.

Greetings,

I received it from Anchor Bay early last week and it does indeed look very good. For those interested my review will go up the middle of this month..

Enjoy!

I hope they continue to keep the grain intact in future releases.

Picked this up today and just finished watching it. Even though I have always liked this movie, I never saw it in a theater..only VHS and on tv a couple times. Needless to say, this is the best I've ever seen it look and it doesn't seem that they messed with it too much trying to make it look "hi-def" The acting leaves something to be desired (such as Peter Horton seeming to forget that his girlfriend is in the hands of murderous kids until he is reminded) but overall this is one of the better movies based on a Stephen King book.

I'm so sorry, I couldn't have heard that right. Have you seen CARRIE, SALEM'S LOT, Kubrick's THE SHINING, THE DEAD ZONE, CUJO, FIRESTARTER, CHRISTINE, PET SEMATARY, SILVER BULLET, STAND BY ME, MISERY, IT, THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, SECRET WINDOW, THE GREEN MILE, HEARTS IN ATLANTIS, STORM OF THE CENTURY, 1408, THE MIST (and probably a handful of others I've forgotten)? Hell, even MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE had more fun being bad. I'll grant you this--CHILDREN OF THE CORN is better than DREAMCATCHER...

I'm still amazed at how great this looks considering the age...

Man, haven't seen this one since WAY back in the day! Might be worth a look, although I still need to pick up other King-based movies first, namely The Mist (have the DVD) and 1408.

Blu Ray... 3-D TV... 4K... I Like New STUFF!!!
