Missed this in the theater but it looks like a gas. Blind buy for sure.

February 2nd release. Very favorable review for this kind of movie. Looks like they got it right.

Yes, according to Blu-ray.com, a 'must own' disc .... 4.5/5 on both PQ & AQ

Wow, I didn't realize the BD release was so near! Loved this at the cinema so it's definitely a preorder for me!

This movie was such a blast. After reading the BD reviews I cannot wait to watch the opening sequence with "For Whom the Bell Tolls" blasting!

Is anyone else planning on grabbing the Best Buy "Nut Up or Shut Up" edition? Apparently they're tossing in a DVD with extras, but it's the same price as competing stores with the standard disc. I figure, why not.

Any deals/coupons found for this? Best deal I've found so far is Hastings for $19.99 (only on release day: 2/2).

Fight mediocrity: Insist on BD50 discs for all movies longer than 100 minutes, optimized video encodes that fully utilize the available space, lossless audio track, and new masters for catalog titles!

It was fun spotting the Atlanta locations, and it was just a good little movie to boot. Emma Stone is going to be a star. Little Abigail Breslin doesn't look like she will necessarily grow up to be a beauty, but has already proven herself an excellent actress and should have a career as an adult.

A no-brainer for Zombie fans, and probably enjoyable for everybody else if you can take gore and violence.

I wanted to but didn't realize it was going to be in such short supply. All the local Best Buy's sold out on Tuesday. Now they get more in and it's just the regular BD edition. If anyone has the "Nut Up or Shut Up" edition I'd like to know what the extras are. If they can be had on the DVD edition I might have to get both. I agree this was one of my favorite movies last year.

EDIT: These have already popped up on ebay for like twice the price they had them at Best Buy.

Excellent film and excellent BD, my favorite of 2009.

btw, Zombieland 2 is supposedly going to be a 3D feature. Should be a lot of fun.

Perfect.
Really enjoyed this, very well done.
WH is a hoot (as usual).
PQ is excellent.
AQ is as well, although SW junkies may find a lack of gratuitous LFE disappointing.

has anyone tried downloading the psp digital copy from the ps3 store? My code doesn't work at all. Also i can't seem to find where to get the ps3 background, though maybe it comes with the psp download.

EDIT: hmm, after some googling, it seems that i might have been looking in the wrong area. its supposed to be in the game section of the xmb, i assumed it was in the video area. i'll try again tonight.

I bought this movie, watched it, then watched the following night. The movie had me at the intro - great music and it looked as 3D as 2D has ever looked to my eyes. Great PQ movie for sure. If you find the bass isn't quite enough (it does deliver in a few scenes), just turn up your bass!

Bit of a mixed bag for me, but over all very enjoyable to watch. It was like a teen road comedy, Tarantino film and apocolyptic world war Z flick all combined. Couple of facepalm moments but any time you get a Zombie movie that looks and sounds this good I am happy.

I dont mean to threadcrap here, but I watched it for the first time last night and really didnt like it much.

It wasn't terrible but I dont think I'd ever rewatch it. Im glad I didnt blind buy.

As for the BM cameo appearance, I wasn't very impressed by it. I had heard there was a secret unexpected cameo that made the entire movie worth it. After the BM scene I was left wondering whether that was it, or it was later in the movie.

I think this movie is probably for people who are 12 to 18, or 40+. I say this because the humor is dumb for little kids, and BM and Woody Harrelson are probably a draw for people 40+ only. It will be like if Jessica Simpson is in a movie in 20 years. Only people 40+ years old will care.

I would say all opinions of a movie should be welcome here. Although I'd have to disagree with you age assessment. I know people in many age groups that enjoyed this movie. It just comes down to personal tastes. I know a guy that I was sure would love this movie that wasn't overly impressed. You never can tell.
