To play the folder as a disc the easiest way is just to drag and drop the BDMV folder in to the Power DVD icon.
The Power DVD program should launch and "load" the disc.
Once is loaded you should be able to see the disc menus. Use your arrow keys to navigate and enter to select.

That should do it. Enjoy!

Yes. Sadly, AFAIK, there are no re-writable 8GB discs available.
Make sure you write the whole folder (with the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders inside).

Did you really need to quote that entire post in your reply?

Hey Eric, by all means do not give up.
In some respect age is just a number... as long as extraneous physical activity is not part of it , ask me how I know. I'm your junior by a few years but I'm right behind you and Michael.

If I'm reading your post correctly, you are saying that you "cut paste" the folder - you should "drag and drop" the folder directly into the Poser DVD icon. Then the program should start the disc.

I understand that what you want is being able to play the disc anywhere. The best way is to burn it to a disc. As Michael mentioned there are no reusable DVD but might as well buy yourself a BD-RE disc. And of course you would need a BD RE computer player.

I'm attaching a picture of the folder with the BDMV forlder and right next to it my PowerDVD icon.

left click the mouse button and hold it down. While holding it down drag the folder to the PowerDVD icon, once on top of the icon release the mouse button. That should start the program.

Hello Again I just want to say Thank you to everybody on here especially Leo and Micheal who have been very patient with me indeed ( They must of been banging there heads on there computer desks trying for me to get it right you all have bent over backwards to help me big time. I am going to be honest with you. Before I came on this AVS site I did not like Americans 1 thought they where brash could be very rude shoot you as soon as look at you. You won and done everything Home Theatres the size of commercial ones over here and of course statistics. BUT HOW WRONG I WAS! As far as I am concerned you have been very helpful and very kind and Patient with a old fart like me and I am very grateful to you all. I mean you play a good game of football sorry soccer and holy of holys you have taking up the classic English Game of CRICKET What ever next I would like to wish you all a Great Thanksgiving Day as i know it is important to you. But I will leave one American out if you do not mind D.T Once again thank you all you are not a bad lot after all I admit I got it wrong

I have a question about these, does anyone know if I can just play them from my Shield TV (streamed through Plex on my home network or I can put them on the Shield's internal storage)or do I have to burn them to a blu-ray?

As far as I know, as long as the clips are in a format that the Shield can play, pretty much any format, then the shield will be able to play them. You would need to have the codecs loaded if you will be using the shield with no other audio processing these, otherwise you can just bitstream the audio and the receiver/processor should handle the audio correctly.

If you "true" stream these, then the throughput of your network, wireless or wired, is a determining factor.

I don't think there is a front end for the Shield that would play the BD structure files with menus, so you would be needing to play the individual clips from the stream folder(s).

If you want the full Blu-ray experience with any of these discs - easiness of navigation, pop up menus, menus etc, the best way is to just burn them to media.

Oled does not support ISO, so you’d need to either browse the folders or break them out another way.

I know this is an old thread, but it makes the most sense to place the question here.

For Dolby Atmos, we have the demonstration trailers created by Dolby, but I was wondering if there is any interest in creating one of these independently authored discs for Atmos demo material, now that we have a good deal of movies released in the format?

Thanks.

There is a lot of interest; unfortunately, remastering these new formats to a disc requires software that is not freely available.
The latest collection of files is here:

Ya, I think it would be sweet to create nothing but the best Atmos demo scenes and provide as a downloadable torrent..... In addition, creating separate torrents with one being only the 4K atmos files and the other being only 1080p files would be super handy!

Apparently, there's a way to select which files you want from the torrent.
