Agreed! I am at 47.1% I have been connected for 3 weeks and will seed upon completion. Are you staying connected as well? If so, everyone should be able to get to 98% from your file. I hope to see my percentage complete climb to 98% from your files in the near future

Sounds like it may be different than the one you have since we should be syncing if they were the same. Can you PM me the link for the file that you are using?

Loved the Best of the Demo Discs Demo Disc! I'd really like to see a big disc full of the DTS/Dolby demo shorts. I might have to try and make one and get it added here. Thanks to all the seeders, I have it seeded as well!

You're asking about a 5 year old file/files. Most may have removed the torrent or removed it from somewhere easily accessible. I wish you luck in your endeavor however. Just have to be patient and wait for people who have it to load it up.

Because I am playing the files from a USB in my Oppo, I found individual uTorrent downloads for the Reference 2 demo disk, which individually, they downloaded much quicker. All I needed to do was unzip the .rar file afterwards. The files played well and I was able to mix and match by drag and dropping what I wanted from Animation, Surround and Visual into a new folder I created

Thank you to those who created the clips.

Demo world doesn't offer those discs for download, they're just listed for reference.
You can find that disc for sale on ebay (which annoys be just a little since they were given away for free at CES).

Ok, I've never burned a blu-ray before - but how do you create actual BR disk from these?

I downloaded the Reference 2 - 50 GB - took forever. It's just a bunch of files - no doubt the right ones, but it's not a disk image. I copied the BDMV directory contents and burned on a BR disk - then tried to play it and my Oppo said it's a data disk, it could browse it but didn't play as a blu-ray video disk. What am I missing here?

Also, what is the CERTIFICATE directory? That seems separate. I wasted 2 hours burning the disk (plus the actual blank disk) so I don't want to continue experimenting.
Thanks.

Thanks.
I realized my mistake - needed to start one directory up so basically copy BDMV and CERTIFICATE directories and the 2 files in the root dir of the disk. Nothing else to it - but I had to go read up on blu-ray disk structure and file system type details to figure everything out.

Well it is relevant when you create a whole topic on the reference blu-rays and post download links and then we download them - and are unable to create the actual disks despite.

The one disk I downloaded did have a text file named "for more info" but instead of instructions it only contained a web link to a no-longer-existing web site.

Thanks, sorry for the late reply.
However, I don't know if it's because of the heat that is melting me, I can't seem to find a working link...
Can you please post one here? Thank you in advance.

The Demo-World site had gone through some changes and it is no longer possible to get the Cinemascope disc through there.

Here is a thread for the cinemascope disc through AVS

Are you looking for anything in particular? A few emphasize bass, most are a mix of everything, some are available in "chapters" so you can start with what you prefer.
Or start with the "Best of" disc, not that that's a selfish plug or anything.
At this point, several are so old that you may as well just get what you can.
You can post on the specific individual thread for seeders and hope someone's still paying attention.

I guess more of an overall disc with surround, bass, music but one that has some of the newer formats. 7.1 for sure. Are there any that have Dolby Atmos or DTS-X?
