As far as I know all the demo discs created by our members had being posted at "Dedicated Theater Design & Construction" side of the Forum. I'm sure that some of you are not aware that such discs exists, thus I'm bringing it to light on this side of the Forum.

If there are any other demo discs (independently authored) that might be out there, please let us know to include themt on this thread.

========================================================================

Mod's edit: I have zipped up all of the current torrents that I could find into a single file. Once you unzip the file you should find:

BDMV.torrent - Bass Demo Blu-Ray
Home Theater Demonstration Bluray v2.0.torrent - This is version 2.0 only...I could not complete version 1.0.
RAR_Reference_BD50.torrent - Reference Blu-ray Disc #1
RAR_Reference_2_BD50.torrent - Reference Blu-ray Disc #2

Those are the BD 50 torrents. You will also find the individual segments of Reference Blu-ray Disc #1 and #2 - each segment fits onto a single DVD dual layer disc for those who do not have a Blu-ray burner.

I just did this so that people reading this thread would not have to search all over for the download links...

Also, these are in electronic form. Most of us know what that means... you can implemented, manipulated, play it, stream it, burn it... you chose.

The optimum way of playing these would be through a Blu-Ray disc. Which, in my opinion, is the easiest and best way on playing these. However, these can be played from external devices or simply streamed from a computer, so technically no BD burner required.

Now a days every computer has a DVD burner. DVD media (DVD DL), is very affordable, and most of us have access to the internet.. With these in mind, pretty much anyone can try these, and if you are an A/V enthusiast (geek) you have to give it a shot.

Mot of the recommended software to get these is free, or you can look for substitute completely free software.

Hi,

I would like to create a similar Disc with my Reference Scenes. I tried to find Software for the authoring, but every software cuts out the High Resolution Sounds and mixes them down to regular 5.1.

Can anyone suggest a Software that don't touch my m2ts files ?

Hope that question is OK in this thread. Did't find anything more suitable.

Kind regards

As far as I know there are three main professional packages out there and one is no longer supported as of last year.

- Sony Blu Print. It is the most used software by professionals

- NetBlender DoStudio (recently acquired by Sony)

- Rovi Scenarist (no longer supported)

Being that all three are professional grade software they do full DTS-HD Master and Dolby HD audio as well as full 1080P 3D.

On the commercial side I believe Adobe Premiere now handles lossless audio, but not 100% sure, and Nero Burning Platinum support lossless audio authoring but is limited to template menus.

There is also MultiAVCHD, that is free, and can handle HD audio and video, plus many other things and tools, but is limited to template menus as well.

hi,

thanks a lot for the reply. With Adobe Premiere nobody seems to be sure. With my limited internet bandwith I will not test the 30day trial version. I asked around and another Home Cinema guy also told me about Multi AVCHD. I tried it about 2 years ago and it was very buggy. I was surprised that it is still alive and got a major update in 2012. I will give it another shot. I´m dreamin about a Music-Sampler Blu-ray with all my favorite songs from different artists / bands. All accessable from a nice menue.

AC/DC: Live at River Plate

ADELE

Bruce Springsteen

Coldplay

U2

Iron Maiden

Led Zeppelin

Metallica

Shakira

Linkin Park

Dire Straits

Eagles

Police

....

When it´s done I will post some pics and maybe a short guide how to make such a disc.

Thanks to all the talented individuals responsible for these two demo blu rays

There's 4-5 of them, they're all great, you should get them all !

Thanks for doing this Leo. It had crossed my mind to build a similar consolidated thread a few months back as well. I'll use this as my go to thread from here out!

Quick question. Do you think you can take it a step further for convenience sake and maybe...for instance... provide a link to the post with the torrent/download link?

Something like this:

I wish all of the original threads had all of the consolidated information on the first post, but I had to dig to find the download link above and could have saved 15min of my life if everything I needed was right here in this thread.

Also, maybe a good idea to cross reference the BD Ripping tutorials just in case anyone finds them useful?

There is a new kid in town!

LastButNotLeast compiled "The Best of the Demo Discs Demo Disc" which is what some members recommended as the best clips from the demo discs so far available.

This disc can be burn into a double sided DVD so no bluray burner required. It is approximately 35 minutes long of no nonsense superb audio and video.

I have added this new disc to the first post.

Let's hope you meant "no nonsense". Otherwise I'm not sure "nonsense" and "superb" go together in general, though I can certainly come up with a few examples.
