Here are the first PlayReady 3.0 public drivers for Nvidia's Pascal cards. They were yanked from the Windows Insider Update files that were put into circulation a few days ago. They may or may not enable UHD-BD, but they do enable 4K Netflix.

Are we talking SGX or Playready 3.0 ?
I though PR3.0 was only to enable the playback of UHD videos from Netflix.
SGX was needed for the actual playback of UHD Blu-ray's ????

SGX is one of several hardware security technologies built into CPUs that are used for PlayReady 3.0, which is required for playback of UHD-BD and Netflix 4K. AMD has their own version that is built into Ryzen CPUs and will be enabled for Vega and Raven Ridge products. These drivers simply enable PlayReady 3.0 on Nvidia Pascal GPUs, so now the PlayReady hardware and software chain should be complete, which means those who have built Skylake/Kaby Lake + GeForce 1000 + Windows 10 PCs can now use Netflix 4K and likely UHD-BD as well, if they have all the required display hardware and playback software installed with a UHD-BD drive. After Computex, we'll see more UHD-BD drives and a lot of 4K monitors, so the mainstream drivers should have PlayReady 3.0 enabled very soon.

Nope, UHD BD playback still requires Kaby Lake iGPUs. The new driver for dedicated GPUs allows Netflix videos only.

With all the strict hardware requirements etc they've thrown on us, I've given up and just gone for a Dedicated 4k Player (Sony UBP-X800)

So much better than swapping out my CPU/Motherboard (Skylake)

I'm not (giving up).
This will be my next HTPC build, after that I'll be selling my Oppo 203.
I'm confident that all will play out eventually, just like it did with Bluray 1080p.
My current HTPC is the hub in my entertainment setup, I hate switching to other sources, I want an all-in-one like my current setup, only in 4k, hdr, dv, etc.

YMMV

Actually, I love tube amps..
I play guitars through them.
