Yes, so worth it. Many times I prefer a more subtle-well thought out soundtrack for Atmos such as this. I know atmos soundtracks from action movies etc. are what a lot of us love. Including me. but this soundtrack just seems to do it perfect in spades. every little nuance is just right. sucks you right into the movie. I have a 7.1.4 set up. It was very immersive.

I previously read a 4k version was being worked on for a release in the not too distant future.

The Diamond Lux Edition is a regular 1080p Blu-ray and it has Atmos. There's also a regular 1080p Blu-ray that does not have Atmos but has DTS Master HD 5.1 and was released about a year before the Atmos Diamond Lux Edition .

Thanks I was clear on that.

Just wondering if the 4K UHD would come with Atmos on Blu-Ray, Atmos 4K and even a Slient Atmos edition.

It's too soon to know. No details have been announced yet.

My assumption is that the UHD will have Atmos, with perhaps the silent space version in lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 just like the Diamond Luxe Blu-ray. It will come packaged with a Blu-ray that will be either the Diamond Luxe copy (best case scenario) or the older disc with DTS-HD MA 5.1 (probably more likely, given Warner's track record).

Silent Atmos...isn't that just...silence? :-)

I just got one from Amazon CA also. I think it might actually be identical to the US version just the cardboard slip in the package with the UPC is different to include Canadian rating and French description. I looked on some youtube unboxing and I cant be sure that in the video the US version is being featured but the part numbers on the box and disc are the same as I received on the Canadian version.

Thanks for sharing this OP. Got a new copy for $22 shipped compared to $30+ on eBay for used. If anyone else is looking for this disc I'd recommend the Amazon CA route!

Picked up Gravity Diamond Luxe Edition wanting to hear at least the core TruHd off my new Oppo 203. The disc menu however, does not have an English Atmos or TruHd audio option. Only English option I see is Dolby 5.1? First Atmos where I have not been able to access the core audio. Why the difference on this edition? Thanks.

Try setting your Oppo to bitstream rather than Auto and see if that works...or vice-versa.

Thanks for the reply, but right now I'm using the 7.1 analog and letting the Oppo do the decoding. Just have fewer sinc issues letting the player decode rather than my Krell 1200U processor. Just seemed a little strange. Never had the problem before, but could just be something unique with this disc.

Atmos and/or TrueHD aren't listed in the disc menus at all? Was this a former rental copy, perhaps?

Josh, no, not that I know. Bought it new from Amazon CA after reading one of your previous posts. Came sealed. Spec card says English Atmos and Dolby Digital 5.1. Didn't say TrueHD. I just took it for granted that I could listen to at least the core audio upgrade.

Ok, may have found the answer to my problem. The other reason I bought it was to hear the Silent Space version, since I had already heard the standard. Just read a review that said audio for Silent Space was only 5.1 Dolby Digital. Will have to check it out when I get home tonight.

I have the Canadian version as well, and it definitely has Atmos. I checked the disc using BDInfo. I actually added the atmos to my 3D blu ray as well. I'm planning on watching it tonight as my first viewing to christen my new home cinema Yes, I have 4K, but I was wanting to start with this one.

I agree that this type of movie, as well as something like A Quiet Place is definitely a great place for Atmos. Where you aren't buried under an avalanche of sound from every channel, so you don't get the differentiation. I've tried a few sample scenes on various recommended Atmos tracks, and it will take me some time to get used to it, to pick stuff out.

The deal on the audio is the language icon on the main page just designates English and other languages. You then go into the play icon and can select the standard or silent version. The standard version has the Atmos or TrueHD option. The silent version however, only has 5.1 Dolby Digital. No Atmos. Not sure why they did it that way unless it was because of space restrictions.

You'll see copies flooding eBay for pennies the minute a UHD edition gets announced.

So I went to buy the Gravity Diamond Luxe Edition with Atmos and all I see is $249.99????????

Is this 2015 re-release copy now unattainable?
