Actually, I've found that regular HD (non-4K UHD) Blu-ray discs with Atmos encoding are not that hard to find on titles released in the past few years. But it's regular HD Blu-ray discs with DTS:X encoding that are tough to find. A lot of titles seem to just put DTS:X on the 4K UHD Blu-ray release of a title, but not on the regular HD Blu-ray release.

To configure my new (since October) 5.1.2 setup using Blu-ray discs that I already owned, I found a number that had Atmos on them (for example, "Blade Runner 2049", "Mad Max: Fury Road", some seasons of "Game of Thrones", "John Wick" 1 & 2, and a few others), but I found only ONE title I owned with DTS:X on it: "The Big Short" (afterwards, I ended up buying "London Has Fallen" on sale because I wanted at least one action-based movie with DTS:X, so I now have TWO titles with DTS:X).

It seems like more recent regular HD Blu-ray movies that use Dolby encoding for their sound have largely adopted Atmos, but regular HD Blu-ray movies that instead use DTS encoding are mostly sticking to "DTS Master Audio HD" sound on the regular HD release and are only using DTS:X on the corresponding 4K UHD release. Hopefully, this situation changes soon.

Best Horror Blu Ray's / UHD's for ATMOS

What are some great Horror Blu Ray's that have killer(no pun intended) audio tracks?

I feel like horror hasn't really gotten into the whole UHD & Atmos formats the way other genres are.

I've heard the blu ray Blair Witch (2016) has an Atmos track....that's pretty impressive! Any more?

Both IT and IT Chapter 2. Turn out the lights and you'll swear you hear things lurking in the corners at times. The cave scenes are very effective.
