Are Best Buy Canada Steelbooks No More?

Hey all, just wondering if anyone knows why Best Buy canada has a very limited number of titles coming in Steelbooks any more. Best Buy US still has almost all big titles coming this way.

Thanks

R

It seemed to me like Best Buy was dumping a lot of their Steelbook inventory here in the States as Christmas came around. They ran unbelievable deals on Disney and Marvel Steelbooks.

Probably due to limited sales. Physical disc sales have fallen greatly, and it's likely low enough that it's not worth doing all the work for steelboojs - all that English and French package translation and such. Best buy Canada is tiny compared to the US store, and the cost to repackage for Canada probably doesn't justify the expense.

Heck, I've had to import from the US because some movies are not available on Blu Ray, just the DVD version.

Where do you get them from in the states? Is there any way to order from Best Buy US site?

Thanks

Blu rays I try to get through amazon, steelbooks I use a us address or a re-mailer. But to use those requires real dedication, since it can easily double the cost - enough the checking secondary sales sites like eBay may be worth it.

Else, a trip to the US is warranted.

But I find the lack of Blu-rays in Canada more troubling - steelbooks are one thing, but only being able to find the DVD in Canada and not the Blu-Ray is more annoying. The DVD is only standard def, and usually doesn't even include a digital copy. The only good thing is being able to at least import them from the US.
