Apocalypse Now Packaging

I ordered the 40th anniversary edition 6 disc set of Apocalypse Now, along with 6 other UHD movies, from Amazon. The movies were delivered in a box that appeared intact and undamaged. The movies all appeared fine except for Apocalypse Now. It came in a fold out case with two discs on a left fold out, two discs on the middle section, and two discs on the right fold out. When I opened the movie the discs were all loose in the folder and there were broken plastic pieces all over the folder. It seems to be a very poor design for holding discs. The discs appear to be alright but I have not played them yet to see if they function properly.
Any one else have the same problem?

Sounds like yours was damaged prior to shipping. I'd assume discs are damaged too and return it.

People on various sites are reporting poor packaging. The outside of the disc folder was pristine with no dented corners or signs of impact. One of the discs was still being held by the center retainer. I pushed down on it to remove the disc and the plastic just shattered into pieces. The plastic in the holder is very shiny and is extremely brittle. I'm running the discs to see if they are damaged. If not, I'm going to put them in another holder. If they are damaged, I'm going to return them for my money back. I don't want replacements. They would only be in the same cheap packaging.

For what it’s worth, my similar packaging arrived undamaged from Amazon. So there are solid packs out there.
