i have to give a 8/10 for the PQ, a little grainy.
Not as good as the new titles but a solid improvement over the Dvd.
All the extras from the special edition are on the BD except the trailers part

Fantastic news Manou, thank you very much.

Can you comment on disc type, video codec and audio sampling rate?

Pherhaps BD-50, AVC and PCM 48/24, that would most awesome BD news for me after Pirates of The Caribbean.

What about extras on the Crimson Tide?

CRIMSON TIDE: deleted scenes and 2 making of - 115min(in french, it's called USS alabama);

CON AIR: PQ looks softer than ROCK but a very good transfer, i'll give a 8/10- 115 min ( i'm not sure this is the extended edition);

they are (with BRUCE ALMIGHTY and THE ROCK)zone free a,b and c, AVC, PCM 48 khz and dolby digital 5.1 english, removable subs.

So i'm assuming that Crimson Tide is the new extended cut? I really wish they'd do seamless branching so that we could get both versions.

Are there german audio tracks on Con Air and The Rock? If there I wonder why the germany release of those two is in september.

Another thing I need to know is Con Air the extended cut?

the only thing i can say is the con air dvd zone 1 is 111 min and the crimson tide dvd zone 1 is 115 minutes.
does it mean Con air is the extended edition and not crimson tide ?

Just look if there is "allemand" on the case. That means german in french.

To check if Con Air is the Extendend Cut you could take a look at this and check if the extended scenes are in it. There are some longer scenes you could check for, for example where Cameron speaks to the female guard.

I think that Crimson Tide is the theatrical version, then.

I just found the length of the extended cut of Con air and it is 121:24 minutes. So I gues the Blu-ray is just the theatrical release. I guess I will wait for the re-release then.

Thank you very much for the prompt information manou.

Now just one thing about the PCM audio, you stated it's 48kHz, but that's kind of a sure thing, the real question is if it's 16 or 24 bit.

In case you have a PS3, can you post the bitrate for the PCM track, this way it's possible to determine the bit depth of the track

Thanks again
