I still have my HD DVD player working but I don't have enough movies to keep it busy.

I opted to play it smart and wait this former war out. I sat back and enjoyed all the online bickering and arguing about which one was "best" and just saved my money. A few years after the war was over, I bought my first player and it was a fraction of the price with more features than the ones the early adopters got stuck with.

In this case, I was happy I waited.

Not even sure if I will ever buy another "disc" player since I now have embraced streaming for our entertainment source at home.

Still rocking my Toshiba HD-A30. Mostly, however, I just use it for playing regular DVD's (although I do have several HD DVD movies) and I find the A30 does a pretty good job of upscaling. Also what I like about this player is that it has dialog enhancement in the audio menu. My TV is from 2011, an LG 55LW5000 with passive 3D.

Still have an XA-2 which is working fine and a number of HD-DVD titles. The only one of those I have that is irreplaceable and has disc rot is the 5-disc Blade Runner set. I've heard that Warner's will not be releasing it on BD, which bites the big one. I've already replaced Planet Earth, Batman Begins, Superman, Superman Returns with BD...
