Tube CD Players?

Have any of you guys owned / auditioned any tube CD players? If so what brand and what are your thoughts on it? It does not seem like there are too many for sale in the used market. Likewise for new manufacturing.

I have a Primaluna Dialogue integrated and wondered how a tube CDP might augment the tube sound from the amp.

ARC Ref 3, Parasound A21, Parasound T3, Marantz SA-15S2, SAE E102 eq, Joseph Audio Pulsar, Rythmik F12

I own and love a Audio Space CDP-8A tube cd player. I absolutely love it. It has the ability to use solid state output stage or tube. Runs PSVANE 12AX7-T tubes x3. I have several tube amps and one tube DAC on hand. I love the sound signature that tubes provide and on the CD Player and DAC tube output stage.

Solid State IMO provides a faster attack and is great with some music but tubes provide a depth and richness that solid state just doesn't duplicate. My Audio Space replaced my very much loved Rotel 1092 and side by side the Audio Space is on an entirely different level.

The Audio Research REF CD9 is one of the better sounding CD players out there, but IMHO there are some solid-state players that outdo it.

In general, I've found tubed CD players can sound good, but it's still a matter of finding the player that sounds best in your system.

I have spent quite a bit of time with Balanced Audio Technology CD players, that use tubes in the gain stages. I really like the sound, but they are out of my price range, and I never play actual CDs anymore, I ripped all my CDs to flac a couple years back so use a computer to play them back through a DAC.

I have not heard it and so far haven't had any luck getting a response from HQ but Vincent in Germany (made in China?) has some interesting possibilities.
