How to stream high res audio...Spotify? HEOS?

Hi - I just upgraded the speakers in my theater and want to start listening to more 2.1 stereo music. As of now I run everything through a Denon X3400 receiver and use Spotify via bluetooth. Are there any steps I should be taking to get higher quality audio with the equipment I have?

If I use the HEOS app or Spotify Connect on the receiver to stream music would I be getting better quality audio than using Spotify on Bluetooth?

Unlike [Lossy Compressed] BLUETOOTH, Denon's proprietary HEOS [like the similar industry standard WISA], is UNCOMPRESSED, and hence does NOT lose any music Fidelity:

OTOH, SPOTIFY uses AAC and OGG Vorbis, both Lossy Compression algorithms:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spotif...al_information
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorbis

But for both HEOS and SPOTIFY, the Source File type CAN be Lossy Compressed, Loss-Less Compressed or Uncompressed and THAT will also determine the actual Fidelity.

FYI: More info re WISA alternative:

Ideally you would want to use Spotify on your Denon to stream via internet. This would be a better solution than using the phone Bluetooth to the receiver. I have Spotify built in on my Marantz and use it like that.
