Help me find a new turntable!

feels like it's time to upgrade the turntable. Today I have a Numark TT 200 which I got from an old Swedish Idol jury when I was there and installed his new hifi system. It has been a good beginner player, but I want to level up.

sound quality is absolutely the most important, but it doesn’t hurt if it looks nice too. I have been looking at Pro-ject The Classic, mostly for it's good looks! But something in me says that it might be possible to get better sound for the money. Would rather not have a half or fully automatic as it apparently should be a little worse sound-wise. I Also do not want any stupid usb function or stuff like that, but a pure player with as good sound quality as possible. The only other requirement I have is that it should come with a lid so you can keep it free of dust.

Budget is somewhere between $500 - $1000 (plus/minus a few $$$)

Thumbs up

Just out the EAT Prelude TT. Uses a lot of materials that are in their higher priced TT's. Also comes w/a dust cover. Worth a look.
