Replacement CD player or external drive

Currently using a Denon DN-V300 as a CD player. Thinking about getting a dedicated CD player or transport in the >$500 range. is there any benefit to having a dedicated CD player, should I leave my setup as is, or would it be a better to get an external disk drive and rip my CD's to my MacMini? The DAC on the DVD player is actually decent but I like the Emotiva DAC coming out of my MacMini.

I'm a fan of ripping and playing off of usb drive. I do this with my Oppo-203 and select music via a usb drive. The Marantz ND8006 network CD player can do about the same and stream from music services as well. Boils down to personnel preferrence. Accessories4less has the marantz for 999.

Have my large music library on external hard drives and usb sticks. Works and sounds great on the Denon X4400H. Still like to physically grab a case and disc and play it sometimes. Picked up a refurbished Yamaha CD with a one year warranty at Accessories4less a few months back. Love it.....
