Denon DVD-3800 as CD player

Would using a Denon DVD-3800 be better for listening to CDs than an Oppo UDP-203? It's been sitting in storage for a while and thought it might be worthwhile to put it back into service.

Give it a whirl and see what you think. The 3800 had impressive specs given the time frame that it was made. The Oppo is no slouch either. I assume you'll be using analog out connections. The AKM 4458vn in the Oppo is a pretty nice dac and sounds nice with my headphones. For speakers I use HDMI connections.

Yes, I was going to be using the analog connections. Thanks for the input!
