the few reviews on the MTX said it was loud - but not clear and detailed.

it has a bargain basement looking 15 in there, and a passive radiator.

the speaker is on the bottom, and the radiator is on the side with the logo.


i got it off craigslist very cheap, and the amp is blown. i think it was rated at 150 watts..

would a more powerful possibly be more detailed?

these are huge, the SW1515 plate amp was half the width of these.

the words MTX and detailed should never be used in the same sentence.

there is a reason why their top of the line speaker is called a Jackhammer. all MTX does is pound.

use any amp that can handle the impedance of your speaker and that has at least as much power as the one that you're replacing. forget about detail.
