Any idea how high the center of the seos-10 is/was on the center channel? I realize it may be hard to measure with it removed, in which case I'd just settle for how high the stand/thing it was sitting on. Also how far back was your seat? I know it's all a compromise, but did you play with the height at all?

I'm throwing around ideas for my living room and LCD mounting height. I'm not a fan of mounting it so I have to look up, but I also don't want a speaker on the floor.

I put the center channel back in place since we're still waiting to close on the new place and had almost a couple of months. I can measure the center channel SEOS height on lunch today and will report back!

Ok, I measured the height to the center of the waveguide is 30 1/4" from the floor. I sit at about 9' 9" away from the center. When I'm reclined on the couch, my ears are at about 38" high. It sounds great to me but I've never tried tilting it up or anything since the bottom edge of my TV sits right about on the back top edge of the curve on the center channel.

Sounds like a plan I should just go with. I'll be right at 12' from the center channel and 31" with the screen at the height I'd prefer. Leaned back(comfortable) on the couch, my ears are 38" too.

Thanks for the measurements.

Now if I can just get my sub panel wired and basement cleaned up, maybe I can start making dust again. I did scan through this thread again just because...cool...and jigs...and well speaker pron.

We moved into a different house in April this year so my setup has changed a lot. I still have no surrounds hooked up and I'm still working on finishing my curvy subs (see other thread) but at least the 1099 trio has been in use again at the new place.

Those are just Beautiful!

Really makes me want to do 1099's for mains!

Not sure how they would mesh with a Fusion 8 center.

How big is the LCD? I'm still struggling with whether the 1099/size is what I want in my new living room.

Send them to me for a demo to help with the decision?

That is a 65" that I picked up used cheap from a friend. At least it's bigger than the 52" that I had for almost 8 years.

I'd be happy to let you demo them! It will only be around $5500 for the shipping.

What a front stage! They'll look right at home when you get everything all finished (including the subs) and will sound amazing. Awesome work. Nice wall and carpet colours too!

Thank you! I’m looking forward to seeing what the subs will do in this house. It’s a way bigger space.

Beautiful job! The two tone veneer looks great!

Thanks man. I am hoping now that I'll finally have surrounds again, I can really spend some time getting Audyssey to work in this house and get my minidsp running to my subs again.

Here's a more recent photo with the subs done and some other details complete. The color is not completely accurate in the photo but it's not too far off.

Those turned out AMAZING! Great work! The finish is beautiful.

Can I ask what router you used on the baffles?I'm thinking of veneering the baffles on my 893's,but I'm worried about the lack of space between the mids and waveguide and woofers.

Thanks! I don’t think I had my Bosch Colt router at that point so it was my Bosch 1617. It’s the bit that’s important, not so much the router.
