eh to be expected, as much as you internally test things you are never gonna get it all right until you throw it at millions

the edit box is TBH the biggest annoyance right now

I'm never going to click on any of that and it makes the whole site a narrow column on my screen. for some reason, I seem to recall working with somebody to fix something similar many years ago.

this is what happens. it shrinks the edit box down so small it is comedy.

Lol. This is so true.

Shame on AVS for making you pay to fix that. Lol. As if people like you and I don't pay it forward already with posts, we need to pay to fix this is a total joke right ?

Look what happened when I clicked reply:

Total comedy

This seems to be enough a problem you might consider making it bigger and more obvious. A new user would have the same troubles as a veteran, neither should though.

This should be obvious. It's not if multiple people complain and need to be told how to fix. That means it's not intuitive.

Not good.

Is there not a list of threads I have posted in? I can't find it and that was my most used feature for going to see conversations I am involved in. Surely that was a main use for many people. Sorry I must have missed it can someone tell me where it is? I don't have any subscribed threads in my user CP either. How do I subscribe. Maybe I could easily find my favorite threads that way?

Ya,

I usually use my tablet for reading this forum. Got lost instantly. Then I remember it not loading yesterday. ( I think )

Then tonight ( just now ) Here I am. Yep, this still sucks, even on my desktop.....

Glad to know its not just me....

Threads I've posted in is under tools on desktop, or in the menu on mobile, as are my subscriptions. Let me know if you can't find them.

Works kinda like Audiokarma.com (AVS is Vbulleten ) now because it is Vbulletin also ,

Let's try not to beat the staff up too much lot's to do
ofc feedback legitimate debug problems though , keeping a site of this size up and running under normal circumstances is a big job , they are probably very busy now ,we can figure it out and answer one anothers questions right here or start a new thread or maybe check for updated stickies .
and also here https://www.avsforum.com/forum/92-com...l#post24889457

The problem is that with ipad that column "tools" won't open or work or select or show anything. Something about the stupid banner or add or whatever other garbage AVS is trying to cram down our throats takes precedent and when you click tools the menu options open behind so the entire "tools" is worthless.

I just got on my pc for the first time and tools works fine. I see now the problem was with the format on the ipad I was using.

It works on the PC.

I also have enough control with a $60 mousepad, a $120 gaming mouse, and a $150 keyboard to make all this make sense. I have enough control to click what I need and actually have that click without something else I don't want.

On the tablet and phone that is not true. It needs to be a lot easier and more obvious to jump to the last page and last reply in a thread. It should be an option just like jumping to page 1 or page 2 or last page is.

The icon to jump to the last reply in a thread needs to be stupid obvious so even an idiot like me has no trouble figuring it out or finding it.

The right side bar should be optional and the default should not include it as well.

Cliff notes:

-Picture uploading sucks. This must be fixed.
-The screen is wasted with the column on the right side. It's terrible and no one wants it. It should be off by default if it's possible.
-Jumping to the last reply in a thread is not obvious or easy enough.

I think if you fix these three issue you fix 98% of everyone's complaints.

When viewing the desktop site via a retina Ipad, I cannot select the 'tools' drop down list. I'm guessing I should be able to click on that and get a list of commonly used options that were easy to use on the huddle platform. I'm on many other vbulletin forums and don't have this menu drop down issue on the same iPad. Perhaps this could be looked at?

Also, why do we need to de select that sidebar? Having over 1/3rd the screen taken up by that was infuriating, that should be disabled by default instead of hidden in some random menu option as it is right now.

Overall, this isn't that bad. I'm on many forums and most of them are vbulletin. The previous huddle platform was more advanced however, and easier to use. Meh, it is what it is.

i understand the changeover has gone through some testing before launch .. i really wonder who tested it and how much they where not looking at it, coz a lot of obvious things should have been there allready instead of people complaining about it now. imho it should have been completed first with old skin from before the change to huddler and the picture embedding and notification stuff and the editor from the last century could have been fixed before launching the new site to the public.

This was my problem all day too.

It needs to be moved. It should be the most obvious choice for people.. you should have to go out of your way not to click it. Who ever clicks anything else ?

the owner ran away with his code, not willing to give it with the selling of AVS and so they had to use something else (vbulletin)

The "active topics" section to the right of the screen, every time I click on a posters attachment photo this "active topics" section cuts into my viewing of the posted attachment photo.

This might have been mentioned already, but it's nice to have the date a thread was started showing under it's title. This is probably more true for the DIY section because there are many builds that have similar titles.......started 2 days ago, or 2 years ago.

So much drama, almost exactly like the last time it changed away from vBulletin. IMO the members posts are what make it worthwhile, and the forum software is usable.

Using the desktop version on my Android phone, I'm not seeing a lot of the attached thumbnails, just the words "attached thumbnails". I can see them if I switch to mobile, but I hate mobile sites and forum apps.
