A builder for Gjallarhorns?

I recall seeing a list of cabinet builders floating around that one could contact to build sub boxes. Is one near Colorado that can build the Gjallarhorn sub boxes?

There's a guy in KC who might build you a set if you reimburse for his time. @d_c

I have 4 of the TC 18's and can go with ported (Notnyt style) or the 2 Ghorns. I imagine output would be close between 4 ported and 2-Ghorns. Any opinions as I cultivate multiple options?

For amps right now I have 2- CS4080hz Peavey amps and would replace those with 4- Crest CC5500's which can be voltage limited to not over drive the subs. Amp options are open for discussion but I'm not keen on Chinese copies although I haven't ruled them out because of the voltage limiting flexibility.

The Crest amps are twice the price of a Sanway shipped.

Mfusick.. I was just reading an old thread that you had started comparing horn designs, did you ever decide on one?? I know the LilWrecker & the Ghorn were discussed, just curious if you ever built one and your impressions if so..

If I missed a build thread, please send me in that direction.. just doing some horn research/perusing at the moment.. LilWrecker is leading the pack ATM

thanks

Lilmike and I are doing a horn project together. I have two LMS drivers sitting here with me now.

Think Ghorn, but a bigger so it's not so handicapped.

I believe Nathan Funk built the cabinet Josh used, so it might be worthwhile checking with him as well. He may still have the cutsheet, and if so could build you the exact same thing.

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite...

Before I had mine built, I had contacted Nathan, he wanted 1700 per cab in bare wood.....
I got both mine done for 1000$ and the guys did a really nice job.

Blasting brown notes for 10 years and counting!

I think Nathan built the 12hz LLT used for the RE XXX 18" driver. If memory serves, a local cabinet maker built Josh's Othorns and Ghorns.

I just double checked and you are indeed correct. I thought Nathan built the ghorn, but it turns out it was the RE XXX instead.
