Well then I'm out. So tired of these low displacement 32 inchers flooding the market. Probably will be inducted to some hall of bass also.

Personally, I would rather he focus on completing the two group buys going on and then get back to this one. lol Yes, that is me being selfish! But I think I jumped on the UXL GB back in February!!!
Being only 4 drivers away from my name being called on the FTW's, I'm anxious to at least get those two and that will make it an easier wait for the two UXLs.
These sound insane, but too big for a normal setup. Unless you had a basement under your room so they could be floor mounted. Not sure I would be comfortable ceiling mounting these beasts!!!

I think he won't put out anymore FTW 21s until the new driver is done. I would expect youd get your drivers in April 2016...maybe slipping to 2017.

Normal as in.... floor standing subwoofers. Having SubZero fridge sized subs around the room would turn a theater into a closet!!! Lol

In no stretch would I consider the two FTWs and two UXLs I'm buying for my system to be normal. But I'm doing all sealed enclosures so to me they are normal in that regard. I'm hoping their output and clarity to be far from normal!!!

Haha. Sorry. My original plan was just two UXLs and I was gonna add two Ultimax 15's in the rear. Then the FTW group buy started and I saw I could get those sooner so I said screw it.
Just need to order the clone amp, the 2x4 dsp, and get busy building the enclosures! I need the drivers first though.

OL Nick at it again.
btw, I'm not a Rep, I just like subs and have the benefit of being close enough to Mark to get to check stuff out.

If you had any sort of business sense, you wouldn't go around "attacking" lol people, online crying about crap you just make up as you go. I never said or eluded to the driver bing 2K, having a. 707 blah blah. You just decided that's what it should come out as so you can cry about it at a later date if it's not exactly what you claim.

if you haven't figured it out yet, it makes you look like a complete tool. You don't see any other manufacturers on here crying and getting into arguments do you?

'someone' has 'issues' me thinks...

Bad mouthing the competition, or even just some else's ideas are not a good way to gain trust or have friends.

It's a small world in online audio forums...

I appreciate things like this and people that post about them no matter what the item is. Subs, cars, explosions, or whatever......It makes great entertainment and discussions. You can't please everybody, but those who are not pleased are better off keeping it to themselves instead of brushing negativity off on other people.

I am guilty of doing this too as some people in this thread already know, but I learned and grew from my mistake. I don't repeat it.

Nick, I always have seen people bash you and thought that they were out of line and needed to lay off. Now I see you doing the same exact thing and makes me think differently about you and maybe it is justified. Not a good look man.

Yeah, really poor form on Nick's part. I have seen a certain ID manufacturer do this same type of stuff, so it's nothing new. But man, it reflects so poorly on them I wish they would stop. It's painful to watch.

Anyway, this 32" sub looks insane... I want four lol.

So the latest 32 stroker to be contemplated this past week is already crap? Did I miss the specs already besides it not having a 66.6 mm Xmas?
I confused again...
I only hope this does not slow down my 2 new 21 mini subs from Mark. I need new mini subs to spread my love around....
Though maybe this new one should not be called a long throw if it can't get over 30mm? 😈
I am going to hold off on finishing my rooms until I know if this boomer is a possibility. That's what I am telling the wif anyway!

Wow, that 32" driver looks rather impressive already. Even if all I see is the cone and basket.

Back when I first got my 18" drivers, I thought that was big, since I was used to 15". Then I seen the FTW-21"... and now this. I think the 21" will be as big as I'd go, I can't see myself carrying a 32" driver let alone the enclosure for it up the stairs.

I'd love to see how this turns out though, definitely subscribing to this thread.

I need to use more smilies. .
I was joking on all accounts except for the 30+ Xmax need. Maybe it shoukd be 32? ☺
I am very fortunate to have plenty of sub already. Any additional is pure obscene.... ☺😊😀😁😂
I do feel bad for any s.o.b.s. that don't have at least one 18 of some kind 😉
Hurry up Mr. MARK.
BTW, Who was holding the 32 bits?

O.k. so maybe 15 cf sealed won't be possible within the average non 1%er budget.

If I modify my already recording room dimensions that are already half way built I may be able to allocate around 128 CF to more sub-woofage. I just hope huge woofers wont mess with recording much.....................
I don't like the idea of ceiling mounted heavy subs either. Probably deconstruct my old house...

Keep everything digitally and your fine. Its only playback when you would actually engage the subs so recording should be fine. And as Marks or N8 has stated the driver will be just fine in about 15cuft or under of coarse. SO not sure what you mean by 1% budget?

"should" be fine. It also depends on the motor. But that's the goal for sure, as small as possible.

Well I am sure there is always a way to vibrate a spinning disk. I remember when my old job hand an extension put on the building and the compactor(vibratory roller) messed with all the SMT machines. So anything is possible. BUT I think Erich is making a flat pack for this 32" driver so you should be fine...

If I have one I would seriously contemplate building an exterior concrete enclosure to deal with the large moving mass. Would be fun.........................and heavy. LOL

So...in looking at near-field subs, I believe I've read something about a relationship between cone area and distance from the cone and impact. So, if this is true, I can see this as a real advantage of a larger cone. One 32" driver has more conal area than four 15" drivers, so it should have more impact than that (given similar x-max)! That's crazy!

Who is first to have near-field 32s, lol!
