Dual Opposed SI HT 18 vs Two Marty Cubes

I would like your opinions on a build. I am considering either a dual opposed box of approximately 7 ft^3 (maybe 7.5 ft^3) with two SI HT 18s, or two Marty cubes with the same drivers.

I listed to music about 70%, with movies being about 30%.

The listening area, a living room, is approximately 32 ft by 18 ft.

Thoughts and opinions, please.

Ported. You're going to have very little room gain.

So a single dual opposed cab or dual Marty's?

Dual subs have my vote.

Yes, one sealed, dual opposed vs. two ported.

Dual Marty's. I meant to say that
- Based on your two options.

With the size from you have, you might want to look into near field placement.

If near field, sealed then I'd opt for sealed.

Two vented subs all the way to score a touchdown. I have been watching football today, lol. They are equal to a sealed system for music and better for HT. Considering the usable range for most music not having much below 35-45 Hz. Two will play cleaner and even out the bass in the room.

You can't smooth room response with only one sub.
