Duratex question

Hi Guys and Girls. I have a question. How is Duratex to clean? I'm talking how easy is it to clean (as in dust) a cabinet you've painted with Duratex. I build some boxes many moons ago and painted them with truck undercoating because that's what we used on every box. In the beginning, my wife said they weren't bad to dust in the beginning (I seem to remember this as well). My wife said the last half dozen or so years they became impossible to wipe clean. So, the question is, is Duratex any different?
I'm trying to decide between Duratex and carpet.

DuraTex is very easily cleaned, just wipe with a damp rag. It's nothing like undercoat. It looks better than rat fur and applies much easier as well.

+1 - it's easy to clean (wipe or vacuum).

The only time it sucks is when it's really textured. Everything wants to snag on the texture. But other than that, it's not bad at all.

The texture is a real grabber if using the supplied roller for a one coat wonder

I've always used a flat black acrylic , $20 / gallon, for maybe even 2 primer coats, looking for a nominally nicely finished and well sealed surface/ box before even the flaw hiding duratex

Not only will a primer coat or 2 make the duratex , $70+ /gallon, go a heck of a lot farther but
having a smoother, better prepped out surface will "let" you use a smoother roller for a finer grained texture that may not need to be hiding "imperfections" you should or could have taken time to buff up a tad

I did make it to Senior Painter for the City of LA before switching to "Field Operations Engineer for "Sanitation""
and i have the pictures to prove it

and then after all that, wrt light reflection, I use a rattlecan matte spray acrylic , 2 moderate coats, over the well cured duratex,

dusting / cleaning speakers is something we all look forward to , on a regular basis, no doubt

and yes, that pic is

a 110 tall 2.5 million gallon digester tank that "decided" something had to "go"

GOT 100 ft long SKID MARKS?

I just cleaned my speakers today that are coated with Duratex. Wet terrycloth rag, no problems at all. I will say though, the texture I ended up with, I won't do it again. I will use a roller with less texture.
