How do you like the drivers? I only recognized the name of this company from another RA thread and these look like solid drivers.

The 18's in the IB I've been very happy with, even more so with the sp4000 hooked up to them. Distortion is low and response is great. The 12's are still in boxes, busy at work so probably a few weeks before they are running. I had to stuff them in a corner so I cant see them.

I have graphs which are on my other laptop, the screen is broke rendering it useless, on my list of stuff to do. When I get the 12's up and running Ill measure for comparison relative to the specs given

I finally got these built and dialed in with my IB. They are powered by a sp1-4000,master slave config, which is stellar as far as Im concerned. It doesnt seem to break a sweat when pounding out the LFE, and neither do the drivers. This is my first experience with nearfield and it is the most fun Ive ever had watching a movie. The TR is more than I was expecting considering they are 12's and the fs around 30. Im just beating the daylights out of them and they just keep taking it. I watched Battle LA again and its just ridiculous how much TR can be had with this film. Its darn near nonstop action.

Actually feel like Ive numbed the upgraditis for a while. Soon as I figure out why my graphs wont show ill post

Fs was measure at 40 before break in. These have a ridiculously stiff suspension, they have loosened up some but Im not sure they meet the target of Fs 30hz . They were made for midbass only to fill a hole ,which I lucked out since they are killin it for me. Blend really well with 18's in the IB. Even without a highpass over excursion not an issue

They look great. I always loved my dual Fi 15's I had until I had to sell them. They had a Fs of about 30hz and high inductance. BUT with an L/T and EQ they sounded great. Might have to venture down the 15" road again. Hopefully I can find something that weighs closer to 40lbs with 30mm+ Xmax.

AVS has become too much of a graphers/objectivists domain, so much so that they can't see the forest for the trees.

Awesome that it's working out for you Gorilla.

Thanks D S, realy wasnt sure what to expect when I started down this route, but as far as Im concerned Ive arrived. I know like the rest of the guys runing nearfield that Ive been ruined. It wont be the same watching without them behind me.

Graphs were more for props to Paul for the drivers. I cant and wont match the high powered cannons on here. For both setups he exceeded my expectations and for that Im thank

what's mms? don't feel like mathing.

Also, will the neo one have a stronger motor? Seems kind of week for this size cone, especially compared to the mach5 32"

MMS is 1067g. The NEO version will have 8 huge blocks of N52 NEO with a 12" diameter optimized motor. BL will be much higher than the ferrite magnet.

Qms looks like it's in error here. Perhaps it's 7.3 instead of 0.73? That would make Qts be close to (Qes * Qms) / (Qes + Qms).
