Can I do Infinite baffle over in wall subwoofer?

Listening room is about 17'X21' with standard 8' ceilings. It's going to be used for tv/music 60/40. Only doing 2.1 stereo in this room. Front speakers are a pair of Paradigm E80-iw.

My plans was to do an 10" in wall subwoofer, but IB sounds like it might be a better option if I can. The wall behind my speakers is a 21'x21' garage with a vaulted ceiling. I was thinking a manifold with 2 or 4 IB318s ? Or would a sealed 10" in the wall still be a better option for Netflix and music?

I've been thinking about mounting my 4 ds4's to a sheet of plywood and sealing it to the wall behind my couch basicly IB in the wall.

A single 10" vs 4 x 18" high excursion subs???? Well, yeah, there will be a pretty dramatic difference!

If you don't mind the sound in the garage from the backwave, and don't see a problem with that sound infiltrating other areas of the house and causing problems, then I think IB is the way to go. A pair of those Fi drivers would provide enough output in that size room to keep most sane people happy.

As for what I think the question was, sure you could do both an IB and in-wall sub. Not much reason to except to have more than one sub location to smooth response, but a single 10 is going to have difficulty moving the needle much with 4 IB3 drivers or even just a pair.
