Strange.

Something I just noticed today, though unrelated but similar, after going full active my L/R calibrate at -0.5 now and the center at +3.5. It's not as loud at reference anymore. Previously the 4722 were calibrating around -11.5 or so. I just watched some scenes at reference that were painful previously. I did also add more treatments since then, but I don't think the foam corner traps do all that much.

That is strange.

I recently added treatments to my entire back wall, and the only thing I really noticed is that the center sounded a little better. It wasn't nearly as big of a difference as you're describing though. Very subtle.

The duratex is drying on the second one, and I'll have the CNC'd baffles for the remaining 6 next weekend. Having those and building 2 at a time this'll go a lot faster.

Here's a measurement from the DO cab on the bottom left vs. two of the ported cabs wired in parallel on the right. DCR is the same.

I've double and triple checked all gains and settings. No EQ or XOs. That's just shy of a 14db difference at 13hz.

I noticed you used a good amount of oc703 in your CC. I wonder if it quieted it down? I put a bunch of r13 in my fusion 8 and it definitely quieted it down too much.

It should be about 3db down since the l/r have higher sensitivity cds and two 15s

Baffles? We don't need no stinkin' baffles.

What baffles are we talking about?

They sound so good. They're so clean. Like I said to you, they have a more natural sound to them. Hard to explain that statement.

Oh, Hacksaw Ridge..... worth a viewing. Intense, and hard to watch. But, very good. Almost have the 1200s dialed in now.

A few weeks ago I picked up enough MDF for two more boxes but I thought it'd be faster just to get everything cut all at once for all 6 remaining boxes. Unfortunately home depot didn't have quite enough MDF so I'm still 3 sheets short...

They should have more tomorrow so I'll get the rest of it then.

@Rowan611 is going to be in town in early May so my goal is to have these 100% finished by then. It'll be nice to have the HT operational again.

Made 89 passes on the table saw today...

Typically when home depot cuts a sheet down to 3 or 4 smaller pieces, so I can easily mange them on the table saw, I get at least one square corner but these last 8 sheets or so I picked up last week are hilariously off (more than 1/4"!). These things are parallelograms.

Oh well, looks like I'll have to use the circular saw and straight edge to straighten these things out.

I use the shop vac for my router and sanders, but I need to get a larger attachment for the table saw. That opening in the tray is around 4".

ah mine has the standard hookup, I have to use ghetto ass adapters on the track saw and routers though

most annoying thing is ribbed hose when using track saw.

You're getting close now though nice.

That ribbed hose catches on everything when I'm using the router as well. Since the remaining baffles were CNC cut that's 12 less circles to cut with the router! yippee!

A track saw gets more appealing every single build. Then I could just have the MDF delivered and get square cuts the first time.

After these boxes I'm not planning on anything else sub related for a while. Next year is an AT screen + projector, beefed up center, and I'm going to bi-amp the coaxials in my mains.
