ECM8000 mic

i am trying to see if i can do REW, with what i already have.

i have this mic, but not sure on how to connect it to a laptop/tablet.
i see the newer stuff have usb. idk if i can just get a cable for this mic.

i do have some other stuff,

i also have a Behringer UCA202 and a Behringer XENYX 802 Mixer and a bunch of cables

The mic plugs into the Xenyx with XLR or straight to it. There are diagrams on HT Shack.

You should be good to go with what you have + a computer and the correct cabling.

Yeah, mic to the 802, and then the 802 to a line audio input on the PC.

If he is using the Behringer UCA-202 as the sound card, would the 802 plug into the UCA-202 and if so what input would it use?

Will he not also require an SPL meter to set the relative SPL levels in the REW software itself since this is a non calibrated non USB mic?

The 202 only has one pair of inputs. Don't think it matters whether he plugs into L or R.

For measuring frequency response, SPL level doesn't matter. Certainly, if you do want to measure SPL you need some kind of calibration.

ok, i will look into that.

nuther q. the only laptop i have has ubuntu on it, and its older, 4-5 years perhaps.
and i have a newer tablet that has Android Marshmallow on it.

what can i use ?
