Common Sub Driver WinISD Files

On another forum (I wont mention) they have a thread where folks post the actual WinISD Driver files for different subs so folks that aren't good at inputting the data right can just download a already working file for use in simulations.

I'd like to get that started on this site as well since I know lots of us use different drivers that dont always have a pre-existing WinISD driver file.

When I get home tonight I will try to upload a couple I have, but figured there have to be a TON of us out there that have files we could contribute. That way whenever the next big Enclosure/Driver combo comes out, such as the VBSS v2.0 or Martycube Redux, or whatever it may be, the driver files are already out there for folks to snatch and model themselves.

I know there are lots of folks running the B&C drivers, Dayton PA460's, Infinity 1260, 1262's, Stereo Integrity HT18, HT18 v2, HST-18, etc. So let the posting begin.....

Tip: Create a Zip file with the individual driver file in it as you cant upload WinISD's native driver file to this site.

Here is a good list (400+), I should note that some of the specs for drivers might be out of date as I have noticed changes to some in the past few years.

Pretty much all of these (except Dayton) have a 00 at the beginning of the file name so they would show up in front of winisd's normal set of drivers.

Anything with the WT3 prefix means I tested that driver on either the WT3 or DATS v2 at some point and those are the specs I measured.

I will admit I started it with selfish intentions..... I SUCK at putting drivers in WinISD...... so I wanted a easy way to get the common drivers folks use into WinISD....

Mainly I'm curious how a couple some of the B&C 15, 18 & 21" drivers model...... because I'm gonna emulate your setup as best I can, which isnt that good

Honestly, I only just recently got good at imputing drivers into winISD but that’s based off the manufacturers T/S specs which I have been warned about using.

The Magnum stats I got from Eng-399 for example were pretty different but match up close to modeling.

I just measured both drivers I had to see what kind of variance there was in their T/S specs. Same goes for any numbered like that.

Thank you
I only have MK2 but try entering them like this

Quote:
Enter Mms and Cms which results in Fs being calculated. If Mmm and Cms are not known enter Fs. If Fs and Mmm or Cms are known enter Fs and the other known value.

Enter Sd, Bl and Re. This will result in more auto calculations being made, but Qms and Qts will be blank. If Re is not available, go ahead and enter Sd and Bl.

Enter either Qms or Rms, whichever is available, generally Qms is available.
If Mms and/or Cms were not provided for input, now input Qes. This will cause some other fields to auto calculate.

Enter Hc, Hg and Pe if available. These are not required, however Pe (RMS Power Rating) will give a good idea of how much power signal input to model with.

Enter the number of voice coils. NOTE: Drivers using dual voice coils may cause the Bl and Re parameters to change when changing the connection wiring from parallel to series. Be sure to monitor these when changing the connection option, but WinISD should automatically change these values properly.
Correct Znom (nominal impedance) if needed. Many times this will change to 6 and should be 2 or 4... or the ultimate resistance (in ohms) you intend to run based on the voice coil configuration and your connection setting (parallel or series).

Enter Xmax and any other missing parameters if known and continue. DO NOT change any of the blue auto calculations. If they are only slightly different, this is okay. If they are off significantly, contact the manufacturer or vendor of the driver.

Anyone have an updated Stereo Integrity HS-24 MkIII file by chance? I have a pair of dual 1-ohm drivers on order and want to start tinkering with LLT 10-12Hz box designs.

I wish they would update WinISD to be more noob friendly. I cannot for the life of me get my revisions to Matt's HS-24 MkII D2 file to confirm without data conflict errors... I requested the HS-24 MkIII D1 T/S specs from Nick. If/when I'm able to get the WinISD file done, I'll share it here.

So when I did the BM MkV, I entered ALL the values and it had data errors however, @LTD02 and a couple of other people kindly checked over my work and confirmed that all was well. The advice seems to be that sometimes let WinISD keep the automagically configured numbers and just enter in the rest.

I did that as well in a separate profile for the BM MkV and then compared the two models and they were virtually identical

For reference, here is my thread on it:

Good tip, I'll give it another go tonight.

The only values you want to enter are:
Qms, Mms, Cms, Re, BL, Le, Sd, Xmax and Pe. Make sure the specified units line up with those from the data sheet of the driver you are trying to enter. If something like Cms isn't available then enter Fs or Vas instead (not both).

More minimalistic entry:
Qes, Qms, Fs, Vas, Re, Sd, Xmax, Pe,

Or absolute minimum to get basic modeling:
Qts, Fs, Vas, Sd, Xmax, Pe.

From this thread https://www.hometheatershack.com/for...inisd-pro.html

"This is the recommended method for entering driver parameters [if at any point you need to change the unit of a parameter simply click on the displayed unit and it will change]:
1. Enter Mms and Cms which results in Fs being calculated. If Mmm and Cms are not known enter Fs. If Fs and Mmm or Cms are known enter
Fs and the other known value. (I will interject here, if after entering Mms and Cms, Fs is way off from the manufacturers spec, delete Cms
and Fs. Enter Mms and Fs, see how it compares to the manufacturers Cms value, it may be the same if you move the decimal point two or
three places. I've found sometimes they don't give units on Cms and it's measured in meters, millimeters or micrometers, hence the
number being the same but the decimal place moving.)
2. Enter Sd, Bl and Re. This will result in more auto calculations being made, but Qms and Qts will be blank. If Re is not available, go ahead
and enter Sd and Bl.
3. Enter either Qms or Rms, whichever is available, generally Qms is available.
4. If Mms and/or Cms were not provided for input, now input Qes. This will cause some other fields to auto calculate.
5. Enter Hc, Hg and Pe if available. These are not required, however Pe (RMS Power Rating) will give a good idea of how much power signal

I've found these instructions to work for every driver I've entered since I found them (probably around 50 if I had to guess). Hope it helps!

another method:

make sure all fields are clear, then
enter qes then hit tab, enter qms
hit tab a couple times and let it calculate qts
hit tab a few times to move to mms
enter mms, re, bl, le, sd, xmax, and pe
by using tab after entering each data, it will calculate what it needs to
i no longer get any conflicts
sometimes the specs calculated don't match exactly the manufacturer specs, but its only rounding type errors, so it is not material
