Ugh... BestBuy won't accept payment from any of my "Canadian" credit cards - same with my Canadian PayPal account. Is there some other method I can pay for this?

I marvel at Best Buy. Several of the subs show they're going to be delivered tomorrow (on Saturday) and that the service level is next day air. On a $30 subwoofer... Who's making money on these other than UPS?

Even more surprising is that they're still on sale. How many do they have?

I don't mean just THIS sale. They've been on sale on and off since Black Friday.
I wonder how many they sell at $130.

Enough to make up for the ones they're selling at $30?

Are people just using the Harman provided T/S parameters for these? I thought I saw someone mention in a post that mtg90 measured one after breaking and found it had somewhat different parameters, but I can't seem to find that post now.

I am so excited. I just bought 8. This is a such a long time coming. I am hoping this will be enough for my 400 sq ft room. I am also going to buy a NX3000D is that enough amp for these? I am hoping to either build these in boxes of pairs or 4. Which would be better?

This is all new to me. This is the first speaker I will be building! I am so excited!

In for 6, 4 in use and 2 spares. Thanks for the heads up!

I have the same question about whether a 3000D is recommended. I prefer not to use the 6000 because of the reports that it pops when you turn it on/off by remotely cutting the juice on a power strip. All of my equipment is in another room.

My NU3000DSP thumps....I wouldn't say pops....but it thumps through the subs when powered on with the button.....never tried just the flicking the power strip switch but I'd bet its the same. It's not loud or hard but it happens...Just the nature of the beast? The 6000 is most likely the same.

I’ve seen lots of posts saying it’s much worse with the 6000.

I have four powered by one channel on the iNuke 3000 DSP and it is plenty of power for my 150 square foot room. I have the power plugged into a power strip that cuts the power whenever the AVR is turned off and there is a dull thump from the subs but nothing concerning. A fan modded iNuke is a great amp for these things.

The thump is a flaw in the production of the amps. I have had 3000s do it plenty.

I contacted behringer and they are aware, and dont care basically. Its pro equipment and i guess for the price their tolerances are what they are. There is a component that when it engages correctly doesnt allow for thump.

It does not harm the subs as far as i know, but it is annoying. LPFs have not helped mine.

You should hear the inuke thump sometimes when i turn off the htm12s. They are so high in sensitivity you can hear signal noise if not handled properly. Off usually is OK, but sometimes it is a mini explosion.

What's my best option for powering and wiring 16 of them with the amp(s) in the adjoining room?

How many amps? Ideally, you want a 4 ohm load. 6 is okay, 2 is (usually) not.
Doesn't matter what room the amps are in.

The best bet is going for 4 ohms total. That means either running 4 sets of 4 (needing 4 amp channels), or run them all together as a single 4 ohm load in a bridged amp.

That or buy 2 more for 18 and use the perfect square, giving you two pairs of 9, each a 4 ohm load.

Do you power off by cutting the juice on a power strip? That’s what I’ve read is the cause.
