New Weekly Feature "AVS Forum Sound System of the Week"

Introducing AVS Forum Sound System of the Week, a new weekly feature where we highlight interesting audio systems owned (or built) by AVS Forum members. Do you have a system to submit for consideration? The DIY section is of particular interest to me, so don't be shy. You can PM me on AVS Forum if you'd like, or email me at [email protected]

Follow this link to read more, including what I'd like to see in a submission: Introducing “AVS Forum Sound System of the Week”

I e-mailed Mike.

They want to bring back home theater of the month. I'm not totally sure what this series of articles is for but I think it is to show via articles what the whole spectrum of what people do to create home entertainment centers and home theaters.

I think they want to show people what you can do for $1,000 , $10,000, etc.

Are you in college and did craigslist to build a nice 5.1 setup at a low cost? I think that is more of the focus. To appreciate what people can do on constrained or limited budgets along with higher budgets.

I'm going to submit my system. It has towers from 1995. All speakers are the same line from that era except for my center channel. The newest pieces are my Xbox One S for 4K blu-ray support and a Denon 3300 (or is it a 4300?). DIY martys and some other stuff.

I'll show my mess of wires behind the Home Entertainment center because that is the reality of a lot of home systems. As is my daughters lego table in the corner of the room ;-) But in terms of movie watching, it is pretty damned nice.

Denon 4300 receiver. Infinity speaker setup (SM line which is SM-122 up front an SM-82 in the rear and ceiling) along with a center channel (not SM line but maybe I should swap it out). Xbox One S source for Blu Ray and 4K blu Ray. Sony XBR850B.

I did note that neatness counts for something in my homepage post.

Is this still a thing?

Maybe "of the month" (or quarter) would be easier to maintain while still giving us forum members something to strive for.
