Thanks for the posting ENG.

What is the weight savings of this new monster?

I would love to have the 18DS4 back because the "light weight," shipping prices it had. BUT the 24 does seem to be better value at times. Just not quite yet for me. So I am curious what the weight of this new monster is now.

I don’t really know I grabbed the picture off there Facebook page. Hopefully Nick posts some more info on the driver.

from the picture, I believe the motor is the combination of ferrite & neo motor, I'm sure Nick @Electrodynamic will chime in soon and reveal/ tells us more

From the other 24" picture it looks like there is at least a savings on the motor weight. As the Normal version had triple stack and this one has a double stack. BUT it does have a bit more to it. So not sure exactly how much it really saves in weight but I am hopeful.

you can ask Nick build you a full neo motor, it will save significantly on motor weight but it would costly

The weight savings would be offset by the doubling of the price of the driver unfortunately. If the shipping didnt cost me so much I would have bought a pair of 12HST's, 15HST's and a pair of 24's. Unfortunately it does so I can only watch from a far. So I will wait to hear what the difference ends up being.

Ya I wish. BUT it is funny because I am going to head back to the US in July next year. Will be staying with my sister who does live in Brownsburg. LOL

Anyways where is Nick.

Maybe I can attend a GTG that is not too far away when I get back home to Indy for the first time in 10 years.

Always keep making impressive designs, don't you?

I'm definitely curious on how this 24" turns out. Looks like a pretty sweet one.

I saw 3cuft sealed mentioned with the driver inverted
How much power will this require?

It will be rated for 5,000 watts RMS, so, a lot of power. If someone has less than 5,000 watts on tap we suggest looking at our HS-24 mkII instead.

Weight "savings"? No savings about it. This driver is heavy. North of 120 lbs.

Ahhh so this was more geared towards a higher strength motor in the same weight, so to speak.?? Either way looks great and I look forward in simulating this new monster for fun either way.
