Amp upgrade options from Inuke6000

Ruling out clones for various reasons, I've been trying to wrap my head around viable amp upgrade options short of speaker power.

Priorities include substantially more power and substantially reduced fan noise. The Inuke6k's don't do well with fan mods. I know a few who don't have issues but many, including myself, had shut down issues.

It seems the PeaveyIPR7500/Crest 7.5 offer quite a bit more power, especially burst power which the Inuke's seem to lack, but they also have very loud fans. Do these amps perform well with fan mods? If so, it seems these might be worthwhile upgrades without jumping to the creme of the crop with Speakerpower.

The other option might be the Crown XLS2500, but seems they would have to be bridged in order to see a good power increase. These are about $600 each so $1200 for two vs. $1,000-$1050 for Peavey/Crest.

The Inuke just offers so much power for so little money. If only they worked better with quieter fans.

There is the crest cc5500 and cc4000 amps.... They will deliver their rated power and are 2ohm stable. I know @lukeamdman can vouch for them.

This rules out the value aspect, since two would be needed.

According to Lukeamdman's amps tests on database, a pair of crown XLS2500 would offer great output for $1k for a 4 ohm load

I have some tests for the iNuke, Crest CC amps, XLS 2500, and SpeakerPower SP2-12000 in that link.

Didn't you have test results for the Crest 7.5 or the Peavey 7500 in that link at some point? I thought you had tested one of them.

I tested a 7.5 early on in my testing when I was using subwoofers as the load and a pair of DMM to capture voltage and current. Not nearly as precise or detailed information.

By the time I got the scope and dummy load setup I had sold the 7.5 so I couldn't re-test.

The XLS2502 (2400 watts bridged into 4 ohms) is $487 at Amazon right now, so a pair would cost you $974.
