I have them in 23cuft ported cabs at the moment. I'd love to build slimmer and taller enclosures, but I'm limited to 55" cuts. I have a Festool track saw, not a table saw.

I think I'm having a local lumber yard cut these they will be 48 wide 72 tall 18 deep 6 in tall slot port out the top. So how do you like the performance in the 23 cubic ft boxs. I really cant wait to start building them just have to finish the wifes library first

As of now, I plan on sticking to the crossover in the titan. Matt has graciously helped me to tweak the design to boost the midrange a tad to keep up with the overall goal of my setup. I will measure the titans as fully stock speakers right before I add the second woofer modules. The cabs are all glued up and ready for sanding, round overs and duratex. I still need to cut my 5 sided boxes ( rear will not have a panel ) to load the mid/high waveguide into that will also support the upper bass bin. But progress is happening.

What frequency are you going to plan to tune to at 30 cf? My 24's are supposed to be built this week. I haven't even built the sealed box i have all cut up and you guys are making me want to try ported.
I also really like the add on woofer for the titan. I like how they are turning out. I cant wait to see what you think of them. That is kinda of my dream set up right now.

@Jk7.2 Will each component be modular or will you build them as a single enclosure like eng-399?

They are the stock titan. With an additional 15” module added on top. I built a plywood box to house the waveguide and support the upper mid bass bin.
This will also come with some stock crossover tweaks. See my pic

But will the additional 15" module be permanently affixed (glued) to the top or will it just sit on top giving you the ability to move each individual section?

Well I thought I was all set on going with the original 2150 enclosure design until the mock of your enclosure. It would definetly be a more simpler build using Eric's Titans flat pack.

Sub changes HSTs Nearfield ds4’s ported

I’ve been gluing up the center modules over the past two days. All set to sand and roundover the edges. Then I’ll roll on a nice coat or two of duratex and be ready to get these behind the screen. For the centers I used stuff I had around. Some plywood, mdf, and particle board. Lol. Desperate times ya know? I am happy to report these speakers will be 6’ 4”. That’s 5 or 6” taller then me. I can’t wait to fire these up. @eng-399 please don’t do anymore stuff I have to copy! Your killing me!!!!! Lol.

Nothing wrong with particle board. That's what I used to build my LCR when I didn't know any better and it certainly hasn't affected the sound quality.

Yeah. That, and it’s just a holder for the waveguide. And support for the upper section. Not really a “box” but a shelf. I figured it would work.

Better air flow through the cabinet exiting the slot port, the waveguide box be designed a little different and have less depth to it. Bracing might be a little different to. This time I would also like to eq the box outside and get a baseline of it and then add eq to maximize the performance of the dual 15’s with maybe two different curves. One would be a boosted low end and another with a flat fq response. I don’t yet..

Last night I hooked up the bortech fp14000 clone. It made some noise. (Bass noise) Then pop! My 30a circuit blew and when I got it turned back on, the amp channel A was/is dead. Wasn’t pushing it super hard, I was kinda just getting everything plugged in and speakons re-wired for non bridged mode. (1+ positive and 1- negative)
So long story short, I have no clone amp. Emailed the seller about warranty. We shall see.
PS, if anyone knows a reset procedure that I’m missing, let me know. There was no smoke, nothing smelled weird, maybe the amp is just stuck in protection? The TEM light is on for channel A. What does that even mean?

Looks like you may have a blown fuse on channel A. You can verify this easily by opening it up and checking the board's fuses. But, if there's a warranty in place, I wouldn't bother trying to fix it...send it back and let them deal with it. Oh BTW, Notnyt tested the Bortec Labs FP14000 and the consensus is to stay away from Bortec Labs. The owner of Bortec Labs, at least he told me he was the owner, seemed a bit shiesty.

Nice to know. It was cheap though.
I did message @notnyt and asked what he knew about it. Maybe he can point me in the right direction.
And I’d love to know if these amps are 2 ohm stable.

Maybe he'll respond, but in the FP14000 clone thread he was adamant about not being messaged about these amps. I'd contact the seller.

I have messaged the seller. I’ve never read through that thread. I hope I don’t offend him.
