19 isn't bad.

I only have 32 channels of amplification, and I'm only using 25 of those right now.
My DSP is good for 24x48 as of this moment, so theoretically I could add another 4 20k's, before having to add another $1000 Motu24, which would then allow another 6 20k's... that would definitely require a 400a service upgrade. LOL!

I’m not expecting an insane difference between the clone I’ve got and the 20k. Maybe I’m way off, but my four hst’s get stupid loud (for my house) off of the 14k. I’ll just be more at peace knowing I’m not frying anything. I’ll be operating at less then 1/2 amp power for sure.

Actually, yes. I need an amp for a sub build and I've been away from what equipment is available for a few years.

My last room had all the equipment in a closet so it didn't matter. Maybe you're incredulous that I'm that dumb but after sorting

through scores of posts heavily filled with esoteric information, jargon, model numbers, and gloats I can't figure out if the amp is suitable for my needs and I'd like to make a purchase before another round of tariffs. . IMO, getting through the

quite passages of a movie is just as important as hearing things go boom. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Absolutely did not offend anyone All clones, with the original fans, are loud as hell. If you're looking for lots of power with silent operation, then look at Speaker Power amps.

Thanks. It's difficult to jump back in after a 5 yr hiatus. Pretty much every product you know is discontinued and most of the companies you know are out of business. One last question, why is the XBS FP20000 desirable and the FP22000 not?

I would say because its the more tested version and the fp22000 that notnyt tested had channel give out. Which I wouldent worry to much about it was more of a load than you probally would ever see during any movie or music.

Well, thanks @hd0823 for bringing over the amps. We tested both, they both worked fantastic. Power? Holy poo. These amps are awesome. I never heard the hst’s so dang loud and low. I just couldn’t let both leave. So I pried one out of Jeremy’s hands and it’s. Mine now!!! Hehehe
And @brian6751 thanks for coming and checking out the Titan upgrade. Pretty surprised at the bass at max volume and no subs. That was fun.

That was just the titans in two channel with no subs. Stupid loud.
So, yeah. The titans with duel 15’s can probably take 4000 Watts. I gave them 400 each. Ish.

The 20k has more transistors in it per channel, in some cases double what the 22k has...
That "may" make all the difference when pushed hard.

The 20k definitely has louder fans than the 14k in-use because of the increased power density.

At start-up the 14k is louder.

These videos shows some fan differences, and fan noise levels.

I would not get the 20k if you want quiet fans.

But with any sort of action you won't even be able to hear yourself think...

Thanks for the videos. That amp on the top right, is that much louder than the others or just took longer to ramp back down to "idle"?

What's the background noise level like with all the amps on and nothing playing? It's got to be in the 70s or 80s?

Um...... yes!
This is off the Bortech. Just one sub per channel.
I’ll have to get some of the 20k pushing them all.

@BassThatHz

Random thoughts...

How would compare the 10k to the inuke6000? Worth the change or you think the difference would be negligible. I don’t think a guy really needs a 20k for DS4’s...

Also, have you done any frequency measurements with movie content through the Atmos channels like you did with the center channel to see how much low frequency material is going through there?
