This amp is serious business.

It can output 4kw per channel into 4 ohms. Overall power output is limited to 8kw. This is a lot of power, likely too much for any circuit this amp will ever be on. It will easily trip a 30a breaker if pushed to these levels.

Some time next year I'll add 2 more 24's or 2 HST18's to the 2 available channels. After running the 24's on this bad boy was the first time I've been concerned about them. I may have to run a HPF now

Or even melting the voice coil...

If using channel 1 and 3, the power supply is good for 5.0-5.2kW x2, more powerful than the amp-boards...

For the 22k with the capacitors, that jumps it up another +7.8kW to 17.8kW burst-power...

After the caps are drained I would imagine that it will drop down to 2.5kW x4 long-term, until something trips, overheats or explodes...

To sustain 10kW RMS you'd need a 50a 240V breaker, but the 240V model is only fused at 30A which is 3.6kW x2 or 1.8kW x4 (assuming 100% efficiency.)

Only fused to 30A If 1.8kw-2kw x4 sustained is not enough, then you need healing I'm not looking to melt any of my sub's coils

Seriously it's really just a coincidence. I had been pondering the thought of a FP20k for some time now. XBS was the first I've seen that offered paypal as an option. As far as the PA460, my plan would have been just to build them without ever mentioning it. It seems as they are not popular by some when it comes to building tons of them
Just clicked hyperlink and CT sounds on sale one more day based on the web page. Glancing at specs looks like a decent buy. As good as a Dayton PA460? I love my 4 PAs!

If bad sound were Faital, good sound would be almost impossible
Killed two Mach5 21s and three UM-18s (and counting?)

If the specs are to be trusted, the Tropo 18 has twice the xmax of the PA460. I've debated on whether to purchase 4 more PA460's or try 4 of these Tropo 18.

When it comes to mid-bass, it is better to have more cone-area and coil-area than excursion.

Box modelling software doesn't take into account driver THD or thermal compression.
The 16 460's that I run are rated for 8kW continuous... there is a lot of magnets and coils and cone-area there,
and thanks to the fact that they are cheap, it didn't cost much either...

The only downside is more box and space consumed. You can only make a room get so loud before running into limits.

I have the dayton pro 10s and 12s and they are fantastic. They have better clarity in the midrange(up to 2000hz), than most speakers I have owned! I am thinking of building an array of them for mains.

Just an array of 10's for mains? No tweeter at all? Using eight 10 inch speakers for treble sounds like a BassThatHz idea 😀

Welcome to the club @hd0823 I think you made the right decision by selling the 110v version and buying two 220v version. Your room will be absolutely insane with your amp, woofer combo.

Isn't that 110 the same thing as 120 for all intents and purposes? More specifically, isn't 120 just the nominal voltage for 110? US is 120v but people still refer to the older 110v standard.

Contemplating it. I've switched my front stage similar to Jared's old setup, so I'd have to build four new boxes for the front. I'm waiting on T/S specs for some Fi HT subs, which I may swap out for my DS4s. If the specs require new boxes, then I'll likely go a similar route to Jared and Mike with Titan towers. I'll see how the DS4s and my four other subs sound this weekend when I dial in the FP22kQ using my minidsp (which got delivered today).
