Talking What do we have here.........An FP20000Q

This FP20000Q is manufactured by XBS a.k.a. Sinbosen a.k.a. AOYUE. My first impression is it's heavy. Initial visual of the build is pretty good. The only questionable sign of poor workmanship is the messy application of heat sink compound on the one transistor in one of the pics. Now I have to switch one of my circuits to 240v and replace the power cord with the appropriate plug.

BTW: As far as I know, @BassThatHz was the first to order the FP20k.....I was second. Mine arrived before his for some reason.

Not sure, but it definitely isn't a 30A plug.

That's a standard NEMA 5-15 plug...pretty much what you find on any "standard" piece of grounded gear in the US.

Looking forward to your impressions. Looks like a solid build.

You can choose whatever plug you desire when you order it.

I did the 15a 120v plug and 240v power supply, maybe they sent you mine or did you order it that way too? What's the chance of that...

Maybe they send me your 110v pink case or box of coal.

I would have liked to see a powerCON connector, but otherwise nice! Is that an option when ordering?

It's listed on their website as an option. You'd have to tell them powerCON. (Which i didn't order.)

I phoned FedEx to see if they can open my package and take pics of the plug and front/back of the amp they are sendng me. They said only customs has the legal power to open it, but they will try. It's still in China with a shipping exception notice. I told them I don't know what the contents are, so this could get interesting.

or just cut off the plug and attach a new one? They're like $5-10 at home depot.

It's not my fault that XBS grabbed the wrong box.

I don't even know what amp they shipped me yet, it could be fp7000 for all I know. I may still have to open a PayPal dispute in that case now (and never order from XBS again).

240v 16a and 120v 32a is equivalent. You're good.

But wouldn't that be limiting a 240v 30A circuit? Then what about the plug, will my current plug and outlet work?

The real Gruppen is 16a FYI.

It also has PFC and a uni supply.
The clones don't, the fp20k clones may draw a million amps and burn ur house down. We have no clue, your the first AVS'er to touch one, it's 100% unknown and 100% risk. Welcome to BTH-testing-land. hehe!

Do those fuses have numbers on them?
I hope at least 15a 250v.

That relay is 30a which is good, but that doesn't mean your safe.

That's not to code for 240v, and you'll damage the amp (potentially).
