Hi @LTD02 , do these panels have to be solid, can we drill holes to lighten it up?

Those are both good ideas! The best thing I have got is John's Mid Bass Enforcement Module also the Johnny Horn. I have not been able to come up with something for JBAMF. Edit: John's Bass Assault Module Foxtrot

You can always turn it down, but you can only turn it up so much (before you run out of power, excursion or structural integrity).

Horns should have expansion. Something without the word horn in it would be more appropriate.

Google what does John mean. Short story, before the baby the wife and I were Googling names, meanings etc. Most of them had all these deep profound meanings, so I typed mine in. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed. Maybe John in the sub name is not the greatest idea lol.

@Samps , I have a couple names that take your advice, they bring the dial it to 11 and become homeless vibe. Also have one obscure name, the sub sort of looks like one. Then there is Big John's Little Boom Box. Large lead acid batteries sold separate.

Planning on building one of this soon for my BC21SW115-4
I have some Baltic Birch and OSB Plywood in the garage.

Use OSB just for the two large 48*30" panels
The rest in Baltic Birch.

Do you guys think this is a good idea?

A related question to the one above: If you're starting from scratch, is Baltic Birch or MDF preferred?

I prefer baltic birch, more expensive but a better product.
Last time I worked with MDF, I got bronchitis, nasty stuff.
That was not fun, so get a good mask

My MDF cab did not last long, busted up corners.

Thoughts on this, big enough upgrade? I am not interested in chasing a bigger amp than the 3000. The current subwoofer is 8 Ohms. Two of these will fit under the AT screen This is using the same 21DS115, just in a much larger cabinet, 1 watt comparison.

Devastator v1 I know of one build, the response is in the OP of that design thread. The LFE version I haven't had time to build just yet.

@BP1Fanatic this is my home for ridiculous potential projects.

Can it handle 2000 watts and stay under 20mm?

Do you have a hand sketch of the fold/enclosure that I can turn into a model later?

Cool

Well, the 21DS115-8 states 15mm Xmax.

This TH only needs 1,100wrms to reach 135db's @ 19hz.

Where do the 4 drivers in parallel come into play? Combo of room gain and loading off the wall?

The 21DS115 is good out to 20mm, no further. Josh had that in the review.

I have to start running some of these numbers against each other. Now that peak just over 70Hz I will want to cross under that. It is a resonance that will color the sound above the peak for sure. The EV15s are already a sensitivity/power handling mismatch with the 21DS115 ported in that bass region. If I go this route I would have to seriously consider going with something potent for the L/R, Titans dual 15s It would be awhile that is for sure.

A lot people on diyaudio.com say those peaks are not present when measured and listened to.
