The 40 Hz tune refers to the enclosure, Your crossover will be set by your AVR. I believe the only way to cross your mains at 40 HZ is to set your them to Large +LFE...don't quote me on that.
Crossover will be here soon

Did you buy the terminal with the crossover? You wire the tweeter and midrange via neutrik. It allows passive or bi-wire setup. I have 3 2150's and 8 8101s for surrounds and atmos. I have part numbers for a lot of their speakers and subs. I was thinking about selling the parts and building a larger screen array. I DIY all the speakers, no difference between drivers and no serial numbers needed, at least not when I ordered. I ordered online via parts website. My room is 16x24. I have an AT screen and I suggest building a baffle wall. It helps increase midbass. I also added 2 PA460s, 3 15" subs and 4 18" subs. your gonna love these for movies. Be sure to buy the mounting brackets for the waveguides.

The Crossovers have arrived, but I'll have to post pictures after I get home from WDW I didn't have any plans to purchase the terminal plate because the tweets and mids will remain passive. I see no benefit with active now that I have the passive crossovers. As for the woofers, as I said, I'll be using PA460s in place of the celestion 15s I plan to run the PA460s active and have them play down to 40Hz. Speaking of a larger screen array, wouldn't 3 SC-223's be nice

the crossovers will remain passive. The Terminal is for connecting the waveguide tweeter and midrange to the terminal with a Neutrik connector. It does have a switch that selects passive or bi-amp although you wont need to bi-amp. They are crazy loud.

I guess you could wire the speakers directly to the crossover but its gonna be more of a PITA. The woofers are in separate boxes, the crossover allows the speaker to continue working IF you blow a single woofer.

Be sure to post pics as you go. They're really good for home theater. I just built new boxes (not as wide as the actual 2150's and used a slot port instead of 4" round ports which eat up alot of cabinet space. You can still here the midbass from the QSC's however a pair of PA460 can produce more SPL.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you come to acquire the MH-1063 tops?

No turning back now

I finally got around to posting some pics of the crossovers for the 2150s. I'd say they were really well packaged. Ordering these was a pain. QSC has made it darn near impossible for you to order the crossover Luckily I managed to order them My plan is to run the mids and highs on the cross over and run the PA460s actively (I have more than enough channels), but I'm going to test the PA460s with the crossover just to see how they sound

I see that you got your XO very nice.
I am trying to figure out how to hook up mine to the toggle switch for bi-amp or passive option and it is not are easy as I thought it would be, I even reached out to QSC and they couldn't even help me. I understand almost everything but all the "E"numbers that attach to the toggle switch, there is no where on any thread or on line that I can find the schematics for this. I was hoping some could just say you don't have hook it up just do this and I will be happy. Please someone help me out thanks

Well ok I'll say it, you don't have to hook it up. Just run your speaker wire straight from the crossover to your speakers... That's what I'll be doing. That terminal plate is used to simplify the switch between passive and bi amping. If you don't plan on bi-amping, then you don't need it

The problem is I cut the spot where that toggle switch goes can I use part of it for input and the speakon connection to the mids and tweeter or do I have to by-pass the whole thing

Man, you did one helluva job on your 2150s. It looks like you went with the single brace/divider as the original, correct?

Yes I did but I did add some extra braces that were probably not needed at all but oh well.

What are you planning for ports slotted or what I did? If you go with the precision ports you do not need the whole kit from PE, the perfect length is the two ports connected with the connection ring it is 6” exactly in length by 4” in diameter

I plan to go round ports. My build won't be based off the original design, I plan to steal @Jk7.2 design, but run dual PA460s

Nice I was going that route but decided I will have enough mid bass and bass in my room so I didn’t want to change the original set up

Finally got around to purchasing the mid and CD. Amazingly, I was able to snag the CDX1-1425's (promotional discount) for $33 each from Newark Element14. Ended up costing me $109.16 shipped for all 3 It looks like the only thing left to purchase is another minidsp, and the PA460s.

Looking good it's crazy how good these things sound for such cheap components.

Did you end up building a baffle wall for your 2150s? I won't be utilizing one. I believe I'll be ok given I'll be using a different woofer and active crossover via minidsp.

Yeah with you using the external dsp you should be fine but yeah mine are in a dedicated baffle wall.

Finally began to build the boxes. I was reluctant to post pics of the boxes as I went along because they are just VBSS's and everyone has seen these a time or two...but what the hell. I had a good mind to adjust the parameters to a smaller size as these are some big boxes. Oh, my granddaughter has put her mark on this build as well by redesigning my dust caps. She got what was coming to her sure enough...Hugs and kisses

I saw a vid of some guy doing that. I was too much of a scaredy cat to try it. I ended up using duct tape. I lost some of the material doing so, but you can't notice it unless you're right up on them.

Beautiful work, sir! Based on your comments above, you have the patience of a saint. I look forward to seeing more pictures of your build.
