Speaker settings and calibration

Hello everyone,

just finished my HT room and i would require some help in setting up my system. So my room size is 13x 17 x 8 ft and i have a 7.2.4 setup :
- LCR = HTM 12's

- surrounds = volt 8's

- Atmos =volt 6's
- SW = 2 x Dayton RSS460HO -4 18" installed in ported Stonehenge cabinets

receiver = Yamaha RX A-3070
Amp for LCR= Emotiva XPA 3 - Gen 3
SW Amp - Inuke 6000Dsp

I did run YPAO with multiple positioning and angle check . The Inuke i left it at default settings with SW volume turned 3/4 up.

I am getting error on LCR as out of phase . Researching online i find this error pretty common and sometimes considered an YPAO error. I checked my wirring seems fine unless they are inverted in Emotiva or Monoprice cables from receiver to amp.

YPAO also set all my speaker to Large . Researching online i find that people recommend setting them to Small with crossover at 80Hz . Switching to small i noticed they were all at 60Hx and Center at 40Hz.

I understand that settings are not all the same because of the rooms response but can someone suggest some settings based on my speakers and system setup that would be a starter point for me to fine tweak after? Inuke has also a lot of settings and i am not really sure what to tweak in there to get the most of the speaker combination.

Good start. Time to download REW https://www.roomeqwizard.com/

and order a calibration microphone, such as the umik-1 http://cross-spectrum.com/measuremen...ated_umik.html

Its a common issue when using separate amps that phase can be off. On the emotiva simply reverse phase of the lcr (all 3) and rerun ypao.

Using a sub or subs set speakers to small and all crossovers to 80 or if you use small surrounds 100 may he as good or better.

I have htm12s fyi so ive been down this road ☺
