Behringer NX3000D - Anyone tried one yet?

Just wondering if anybody has picked up one of the new Behringer NX3000DSP amps yet. If so, what do you think about it so far? Is the software any different than for the Inuke 3000DSP?

Thanks,

Dave

I am expecting pretty much the same amps as the Inuke in a different chassis. And from what I have seen the DSP models won't be out for another 2-4 months unless someone has them and I haven't heard about it.

Looking at the NX EDIT Remote Control Software it looks the same as the old Inuke Remote Connect.

Yeah software is totally the same. I think they may have rearranged one tab from right to left but, essentially the same.

I picked up a NX3000 to replace a NU6000DSP that **** the bed. Haven't opened the new NX, but likely the same guts, different chassis. Working great for my use so far - I opted against the DSP model as I just added a miniDSP DDRC-24 to my living room 2.1 setup.

the "SmartSense Loudspeaker Impedance Compensation" is new/different right?

I picked up an NX3000 as well. Never owned an inuke so I can't compare, but so far I'm happy with it. I'm waiting to put a few more hours on it before I crack it open and replace the fan.

One other positive is that LEDs aren't very bright, so no need to cover them up or anything.

Hi Guys,

Can you turn off the lights? Is there still a thump? Is the fan noise still an issue? Any other notable items?

I don't see any way to turn off the lights/LEDs and I haven't had any turn on or off thumps.
Fan turns on as soon as you power up and it is audible. It's not horrible, I don't notice it unless its quiet, but its still annoying to me so I'll be swapping it out for a Noctua fan soon.

I have never use inuke. How are they remote control? Phone app?
I want to get the dsp version since I want to EQ the sub.
Thing is it's only down to 20Hz, just wondering if worth the wait to get NX3000D or get a standalone EQ equipment?
Is a basic MiniDSP 2x4 at $95 does a better job?

USB A-B cable connected to a Windows computer running iNukeRemoteConnect_V1.4. Only on the DSP models.

Sure. You will need to use a Windows computer running the iNuke remote connect software with a USB cable, or use the front panel controls on the amplifier.

You can set high pass filters below 20 hz with a combination of other settings, it has been documented before.

Basic MiniDSP 2x4 has an output voltage limitation of 0.9V rms. An integrated solution ( in the amplifier ) will not have the same issue. Less boxes, less connections, etc. I have no direct experience, or knowledge if the problem has been fixed in newer software, but users had experienced math errors in the DSP when setting filters at low frequencies, leading to results that did not match what was predicted / wanted.

From what I have been led to believe, the MiniDSP 2x4 HD has higher output voltage ( 2.0V rms ) and does not have the same low frequency errors as the basic. It is also more money.

Don't forget that you also have to purchase the software plug in for what you want to do, that is extra over the cost of the MiniDSP.

The DSP on the amp is pretty nice. Just stick with that.

Another notable change is the USB is now on the back. Which is better looking, but less functional. Anyone that has these in a rack will have to either slide it out or install a permanent wire. I know I frequently hook up that USB cable to make adjustments.

Sweetwater has a preorder for the dsp models.

Adorama has them cheaper, but I'm pretty sure they're Grey Market.

They are listed as a Behringer retailer. I have not found any place that has the DPS models in stock. When I add the amp to cart it says out of stock or pre-order. https://www.musictribe.com/Categorie...X/store-finder

Been running an NX3000d for a couple of weeks now. I did not own an older nu3000dsp to compare it to.

The fan noise: loud. Often people have described fan noise and loud and it never bothered me, but this did. Putting in a new fan was one of the first things I did. Now it's dead silent. Interestingly when I had it opened, the PCB inside still had the nu3k nomenclature on it, so for those of you who were hoping for more than just a face lift...I'd be pretty surprised if they changed something on the board and didn't update the markings.
Thumps: Didn't notice anything, but now I just it on 24/7 since it's quiet.
DSP Software: This doesn't show up in Remote Connect v1.4 for me, is it working for anyone else? Windows 10 recognizes the device as an nx3000d, but nothing shows up in the Behringer sw.
Lights: No, there's no way to turn off the LEDs.

So much for it being a new amp.

If bad sound were Faital, good sound would be almost impossible

They fixed our major complaint about them though, they aint ugly anymore......

mine aren't in view anyways so I don't really care how it looks.

Funny enough, my kids love the way it looks, most likely just to play with the nobs and make the screen change and mess with the settings. I'm glad the DSP software presets can be saved lol.

I haven't tested it as yet with my NX3000D as yet though.

They have not released the software for the NX series, and the older software for the NU series does not talk to these. For the time being, you will have to use the front panel controls to navigate the menus until new software is released.

Easy isn't worth anything.
