I have a few ideas floating around in my head but that might change. One thing is I would love to have something in the very back of the room like dual 21’s. As for the mains big towers again tuned. Around 19-20hz and leave the four 21’s alone.
Another idea is just have big monster mains up front using dual 21” drivers then have two 21’s on the side walls by the first row of seats and two more in the back along with the Nearfield setup. Time and money will tell... I really want to get into a boosted 4gen fdody first which I’m having a hard time right now finding exactly what I want for the right price.

4th gen fbody love here man. I have a 2000 trans am with 87k miles, ws6store high lift hotcam, 3.73 rear, trailblazer stall, long tubes. Can't imagine one with boost.

The same what luke has for his and be able to hit 140db with just his mains. After I left his house in Minnesota my jaw was on the ground. I’m happy with the mid and cd on my titans.

Is the dsp input sensitivity level selectable somehow I don’t know about? Am I loosing my marbles, because this happened at Jeremy’s and my place. Thoughts?
I know the lfe signal carries all the redirected bass from any channel not configured to ‘large’
Should I just be lowering the input level in the software?
I have experienced the same issue so it's not just you. I have already changed the sensitivity in my MiniDSP HD and my sub level is set at -10.5 on my SR6012. That gives me a couple db of headroom on the inputs at reference.

Took me a while to figure this out since I didn't notice it until I played the EoT intro. I played that intro over and over while I kept adjusting things until I could get it to play without clipping then added a couple db for safety. Amps were all the way down during this so I could play the AVR at reference and not disturb anyone so it's just the imputs clipping. Marantz must have some really high voltage coming out of their pre-amps.

Yup. And Matt’s explanation makes sense. Instead of having the mini dsp gain high, and amp gain low, make them both equally matched and you’ll have headroom.

I can’t believe that we’re already less than a week away from the gtg! A lot of work has gone into getting ready for this day and lots still to come! I’m really curious how 40 some people will make it through my place for sure, knowing it’s much smaller than Jeremy’s or Mikes is. I’m confident that everyone will be cool as heck as the AVS crew has been in the past. This will be my 4th formal gtg I think? Everyone has been great in the past. I hope the out of town guys get enough time in ‘the good seats’ to justify the money and time spent traveling for this day. I’ve resolved in my mind that it’s gonna be nonstop demo material ongoing for the 4-5 hours spent at my house. Knowing we have the hour trek up to Jeremy’s to cool down. The 2 channel stuff may have to take a back seat to the theater demos to make good use of the day. But we will try and get everyone covered. With 40 guys, I’d have to think 4 shifts of 10 guys in the theater for a good 1/2 hour each would be a pretty good start. I know not everyone wants a reference demo with 125db bass. But that’s your call
I just hope everyone gets what they want out of this day. Everyone please travel safely and giddy up! It’s almost time!!!

Yea, its the cold my house hates. Just gotta decide if I want to leave it alone in single digits with the most expensive form of heat (electric) running. But hey, out of sight out of mind. 50/50 lol.

And then carpooling to the second location. Hmm. . .

Also, I am happy to chip in for the refreshments. Was there a suggested donation for you and @hd0823 ? I certainly don't expect both of you to provide everything for free.

I think at Jeremy’s we’re just gonna put out a hat for donations. No pressure though.

Definitely interested in attending! This might be just the kick in the pants I need to get my own construction going.

Everyone throw in 20$ each in a hat these events aren’t cheap to host trust me on that. Pick a guy and have him walk around with a cup.
