Used Behringer EP4000 or new NX3000D to power 2 18" subs?

Upgrading to 2 18" DIY subs, and have an opportunity to buy a used, good condition EP4000 for $275. A new NX3000D retails for $350 and has DSP, so I'm not sure which to get.

If anyone needs any additional info about my room/setup that would help answer the above question, please let me know an I'll post it.

(this is my first DIY sub rodeo)

Get the one with DSP, you will need it.

And I guess I should also ask...is the NX3000D sufficient to power 2 18" subs?

Which subs are you getting, are you building a sealed or ported box and will you be getting a miniDSP?

What subs?
As rated, The EP4000 has 500W @ 4 ohms more per channel.

the 3000 will do a very nice job on those 18's. Before I went nuts and upgraded I had the nuke 3000 DSP with the same SI HT18's it really did a good job. I had my 18's in the Marty Cube really no complaints other then getting stuck in the rabbit hole and going broke!!

The NX3000D is lighter (by a lot...) and has dsp, and likely more efficient too (less watts wasted as heat and $$$).
