Linkwitz transform subwoofer

i am building a LT subwoofer using a car sub for home application , one-thing that has me concerned is the amplifier power requirement , the total power requirement comes to close to 1.2Kw , i have checked the excursion is within limits and all , but in reality does the sub really need that much power cause i will be building the plate amp myself any help will be highly regarded. The box volume i am using is 26L, with that Qtc comes to 0.9 and FSC - 51hz i am planning on using LT to bring it down to 33Hz and Qtc - 0.85
Attached the drive parameters,etc

What do you guys think ??

thank you

There are guys feeding drivers 4-6k per woofer. So you are on the normal to low end of the power realm.

Whether the sub really needs that much power will depend on the bandwith and your target SPL.

The amp and driver will do what they can, but it's up to the listener whether that's enough.

When it comes to in-room SPL, the many variables make an accurate prediction difficult, so you will just have to fire it up and give it the beans.

You will then have a better idea as to how much is enough.
Since you're building the amp, build it with headroom or your sub might sound like a machine-gun when pushed.

Yo mama so fat, time slow when she near.

I don't wanna grow up, I'm an AVS kid.
