Mounting DIYSG Atmos speakers

Does anyone recommend a specific ceiling mount for the DIYSG Atmos square box speakers? I am trying to figure out what is the best method. They are the Volt 10 Atmos flat pack (square shape).

I would put a mounting plate on the back of the speaker and due to the size look for a fixed mount.

I just used construction screws. With the woofer removed, I screwed a couple of screws through the back of the speaker, through the ceiling and into where I knew there was wood blocking. I did this with volt 6s but I wouldn't think twice doing it with volt 10s. You can screw directly into the ceiling joists if you can't get access to install wood blocking.

when ATMOS burst onto the scene almost 5 years now,

the 'where at" and "how to" for on ceiling speakers

has produced some imaginative and virtually almost always effective options, TSTL

you may want to post details of the room, seating, distances and all that info

some want to aim the speakers, some will go with straight down and the wide dispersion,
but whatever fits YOUR room and seating is the most important

the suggestions already given are "right"

if th ceilings are really high. something like this : https://www.amazon.com/Panavise-717-...uments&sr=8-24

but it's for you to "see" what your layout will be

these are my front heights on a full motion mount - gets it right where it need to be . .

There's a lot of ways in achieving this goal, much like the ones suggested above.

In fact @asarose247 's build inspired me to do this with my Atmos channels in my room. (Tread linked in my signature.)

I certainly have no regrets with going this route. I hope this helps give you ideas on all the options you will possibly have.

My current RSL atmos speakers sound great but they’re like 10dB less efficient than the rest of my system. I’d swap them out for Volt 10’s in a second once I figure out how to flush mount them. Matt posted some mock ups a while back of a wood piece that would allow volts to be ceiling mounted and run ib. If I had any router skills at all I’d be running these.

FTR

i do remember that conversation with @Hoodcom

and i didn't want to overwhelm the OP with what for many could be a bit over the top
except to maybe start asking "what if?"

but this is a SCATMOS on ceiling array, with 40 ft^2 of broadband absorption for more direct sound from the "tops"

I'd love to be able to buy these. Who is going to build and sell them? I need them for the Volt 8.
