NX3000D - Remove Rack Mounts

Has any one removed the rack mounts of NX3000D? Is this even possible?

This one is like a turbine and I'm trying to see if I can put it in a cabinet, instead of the fan mod.

The rack ears are part of the body. You would have to cut them off (angle grinder, hacksaw, etc.).

there are many fan mods . . .

As my nx3 is only 7ish feet away , even behind the TV on a shelf, OEM fan was unacceptable
room can be as quiet as 38-39 db, OEM fan boosted that to 50-51

this , on Low , excellent cooling and quiet

When I replaced the fans on my iNukes/NX I removed the hot-melt glue with needle nose pliers, removed the original fan, pulled the plastic connector off the connector pins (just pull straight up with pliers, with a little wiggling) and put those in the box. If I need to send it in I'll just reverse the process. There were no "voids warranty" stickers on the 3 I've worked on.
